PART 8

He twist the doorknob opening the room only to meet the new sight. The firs thing that greet his vision was the bed. King sized bed and a small side table with a small lamp on the side. A couch on the corner and two windows to let the light penetrate into the room.

“You can have the bed. I can sleep on the couch” Tristan told her before walking into the room with her. They both stay quiet for awhile before Shizuko turned her head toward the couch.

That must be uncomfortable for him to sleep. Beside, they only have one blanket provided. “It would be uncomfortable to sleep on the couch, my lord. You can..sleep next to me” her cheeks reddened at her own bold offer. She never told anybody especially a man that they can sleep next to her. Of course, she does not like sharing but thinking of the helps Tristan had given her so far, she couldn't just let the man sleep on the small couch.

Tristan turned to look at the woman as Shizuko tirned her head away to avoid his gaze. He'd stepped closer until her back hit the wooden wall. Their gap closed with his boot kissing the tip of her heel. He bend down a bit to look at her as a small smirk appeared on his face “Are you sure?”

“Yes?”

“Do you not know what would happened when a man and woman were put together in a room?” his whispered low, dangerous enough as his alluring gaze glued on her. Somewhow she did not feel scared at all except the chills run down her spine from the question he'd asked her. “I know.” Shizuko spoke out after awhile.

She brought herself to look up at him before she swallowed and keep her eyes on the man “but i know you'll not do something like that.” she told her. She caught a glimpse of shock in his gaze before he returned his expression to his usual face.

“I don't feel the need to further our conversation. If you offered so, then alright.” he told her before pulling away. The sudden raindrops caught their attention as it started to rain heavily less than few seconds “I guess we are trapped inside.” he told her before walking toward the window to take a look outside. He walked toward the fireplace before lighting it up for both of them.

“There's nothing much we can do beside staying in the room. You should get some rest” Tristan told her after he finished lighting the fireplace. Shizuko walked toward the edge of the bed before she turned to look at Tristan “may i ask you something?”

“Of course” he told her.

“What makes you decide to take me with you?”

“I would think it would not be a big problem. You will only stay for 2 months and i just wanted to offer a shelter place for you. My sister's husband's cousin. A little help won't hurt.”

“Really? But i knew you and i have heard what people talked about you.” Shizuko said before blinking softly. Tristan soft smile had made something to her heart. Something she couldn't explain. “Something you have heard should not be compared to what you have seen”
