Manoban invitation
Her thin, slender fingers ran through golden plated words of her parent's 32nd anniversary invitation. The party, venue, time, every detail was in it, stored secured with perfect information and the card is just as fascinating enough as the family is.
There was everything, yet it felt empty. Her name wasn't written in it, even if she were their family once. She is still their, yet they don't consider her one, why? Simply because she is married on terms of her father, with their rivals company.
And it wasn't out of hatred that her name wasn't written on it, though it's rivalry both companies had made up and are in good terms with each other, nonetheless even if it wasn't that, it's not like they would cut off their daughter just because she belongs to their rival family now, afterall she married the heir on her own parent's terms.
It was because she no longer shares the same last name as theirs, once a daughter marries all her morals, values and even names change, it will stay that way forever but however it isn't the same case with a man who marries. She belongs as a wife of another bloodline which technically means she belongs to a different bloodline and will breed children of one.
But what difference would it make if they added her name? It was all her effort that had brought all these arrangements along with her parent's relationship this far. If it weren't for her stopping their divorce, she wouldn't be sitting here holding baby blue card of their 32nd anniversary in her hand and dwelling over the fact that she wished she'd never married if this was the price a woman should pay, after she marries.
The price of not belonging to her family anymore.
She now belongs to the Jeons, and it will forever stay that way.
"Ma'am?" Her secretary snaps her out of whatever train of thoughts that rust her brain continuously.
She looks at her and smiles, setting the card down she begins "yes? Is it ready?"
"Yes. will you be alright, Mrs Jeon?" Asks her secretary fearing her master's wrath, he was on his way to go with his wife, to her parent's anniversary. It's mandatory.
"Of course, why would you ask that? I'm good, no worries." She says with a smile enough to convince her secretary and gets up from her office chair.
"Nothing, i was a little worried. You seemed a bit.....um.. lost.."
"That's okay, you worry too much."
And with that she walks out of her office.
