It was an odd feeling I had, when I stood before that wall. All of a sudden, I was six years old again, standing in front of the same wall, years ago.

It was around Christmas time when most of the students would go home to their families for the holidays. I had decided that I was going to stay at the school for the break, giving Jasper the excuse that I was behind in my classes and wanted to catch up. Yeah right, as if I were to fall behind. My main plan was to go and see what was over that god damn wall.

"Behind?! That's insane!" Jasper had said back then, golden blonde hair and bright eyes. He smacked me on the back as we headed down the crowded hallway of the dorm, the force making me stumble forward, almost dropping the books I held in my hand. "You're telling me that the Grayson, the one who practically studies at grades higher than his age, is behind in classes he's probably done years ago?"

"Shut up." I grumbled. I didn't have to look at him to know that he had a huge grin plastered onto his face. I mean, he always had a big, stupid grin plastered on his face, but it was probably all over his face this time.

"I'll stay too, then!" He proclaimed immediately afterwards. This time, I did end up dropping my books.

"You're kidding." I started, picking them up before they were trampled over. "Why?"

"To keep you company, duh!" He responded as we approached our room. He pulled out a key from his pocket and jabbed it in, trying to get the door to open. I rolled my eyes and waited. He'd always do things in such a reckless manner, it drove me insane.

"No you're not! You should go home, and keep my parents company, if you will." I groaned. My arms were aching, and I was running out of patience. I grabbed his hand and pulled out the key, and guided the key back into the hole, and unlocked it by giving Jasper's hand a turn with my own. "How stupid can you actually be?"

He just stuck his tongue out at me and skipped into the room, and I followed close behind, closing the door behind us. I placed my books on the desk and turned around to see Jasper spread across his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

I kept my eye on him. It was always interesting to see him lost in thought. I walked over and sat on my bed across from him, crossing my legs and picking up the book I had resting on top of my pillow.

"You're gonna do something stupid, aren't you?"

The question caught me off guard. But half of me was still expecting it from him. Jasper always knew. It's like he knows me better than I knew myself.
