Trisha quickly walked over to her locker and sighed, she was scared that if she stood up for herself they would still berate her or it would be worse. But she was tired of all the teasing and laughing, she didn't know how much more she could take. Something had to be done, this had to stop.
Trisha took a deep breath and closed her locker, determined to take action. She walked purposefully down the hallway, ignoring the whispers and stares from her classmates. As she approached Kylee, she felt her heart pounding in her chest.
"Kylee," Trisha said firmly, "we need to talk."
Kylee turned to face her with a smirk. "What do you want now?" she asked.Trisha took another deep breath before speaking. "I know I don't fit in with your crowd, but that doesn't give you or anyone else the right to treat me like dirt. I deserve respect just like everyone else."
Kylee rolled her eyes and laughed. "You really think you can change anything? You're just a loser."
Trisha stood tall and looked Kylee in the eye. "I may be a loser to you, but at least I have the courage to stand up for myself. And I won't let you or anyone else bring me down anymore."With that, Trisha turned and walked away, feeling a sense of pride and strength she had never felt before.
