After a while Trisha heard a groan from behind her. "God I'm so tired, can't we please find like a hotel or something?" Kylee says. "With what money? We couldn't even afford a bag of chips," Trisha says.
They continue walking, their feet aching and their stomachs grumbling. Kylee spots a bench by the side of the road and suggests they take a break. Trisha nods gratefully and they sit down, taking off their shoes to massage their sore feet. As they rest, they notice a sign for a nearby hotel offering discounted rates for couples. "Hey, Ky, what if we pretended to be a couple? Maybe we could get a room for cheap," Trisha suggests with a mischievous grin. Kylee looks at her friend skeptically but decides it's worth a shot. They approach the receptionist with nervous excitement, hoping their plan will work. After a few minutes of hushed whispers and stolen glances, they are handed the key to their room - success! As they make their way up to their temporary home, Trisha can't help but feel grateful that they have each other in this strange situation. Who knows what other obstacles they'll face on this wild journey, but as long as they're together, they can handle anything.
"Damn, I can't believe that worked, nice job Ky." Trisha says, smiling towards her. "Thanks," Kylee says as her face begins to turn red.
As they enter the hotel room, Trisha takes a moment to look around. The space is small and cozy, with a queen-sized bed and a TV mounted on the wall. Kylee takes off her backpack and starts to unpack their things while Trisha flops down on the bed, feeling exhausted from their long day. "I can't believe we're actually doing this," she says with a laugh. "I know, right?" Kylee responds, grinning from ear to ear. They spend the rest of the evening watching TV, eating takeout food, and laughing about all the crazy things that have happened since they switched bodies. As they crawl into bed together later that night, Trisha feels a sense of comfort and safety that she's never experienced before. She wraps her arms around Kylee's body and holds her close, feeling grateful for this unexpected adventure - and even more grateful for her best friend who's always there by her side. (AWWWWWW)
