Black Bulls HQ

"Listen up, we're off to look for a very important person. While I'm gone, Magna, you're in charge. Make sure to not slack off on your training." Yami said, Asta, Finral, and Noelle standing next to him.

"Yes sir!" Magna saluted, the rest of the Black Bulls stood outside the headquarters to see them off. "Good luck everyone!" Vanessa shouted, waving as they flew off on their brooms.

"Captain Yami, do we even know where we're going?" Finral questioned the older male.

"Nope." He said popping the 'p' causing the three of them to look at him, unimpressed.

"...But, I've got an idea of where she might be, knowing her." He set his sight on the horizon as the landscape slowly began to change underneath them.

Noelle remained quiet as she thought about the woman they were searching for. Yve Gorgona. She never met her personally, and could only deduce things about her from the stories Nozel told of her as a powerful female mage—an anomaly in a male-dominated world. If it was one thing that she knew about her brother, it was that he barely speaks highly of others. Whoever this mage was, she must be the real deal.

"Noelle, you look awfully deep in thought back there." Yami called out to her. She let out a surprised noise and looked up to meet his eyes, "Yeah..." she trailed off.

"Well, spit it out! What's botherin' ya?"

She looked down, "Captain, the woman we're searching for, do you think we'll have to fight her?"

Yami scratched the back of his neck, "No, but Asta will." He said nonchalantly.

"HUH, WHY ME?!" Asta yelled in disbelief.

"Because you're the main character, obviously," Yami scoffed. "If you think I'm gonna fight that then you're sadly mistaken."

'Even the captain is afraid of her!' The three of them gulped, they were screwed.

"H-Hey! Don't tell me you're scared, isn't she supposed to be your friend? Can't we do this diplomatically?" Finral exclaimed.

"Diplomatic won't cut it." He said, narrowing his eyes. "The only way she'll listen to what we have to say is to challenge her beliefs. She's completely given up on being a magic knight."

"What, but why?" Asta questioned furrowing his brows.

"It's not my business to tell."  He simply replied.

Silence washed over the group for the next couple hours as they crossed the border of the Clover Kingdom into neutral territory. As it began to get dark outside, Yami decided that they would stop at a small town to get some dinner and stay the night.

"Man! I'm starving!" Asta exclaimed, stretching his arms above his head as they walked through the busy town. Yami's eyes scanned the storefronts, until they landed on a pub. "Here, let's go to this place." He said, leading his subordinates into the place, the musk of cheap beer and sweat flooding their nostrils.

The bar was fairly busy, but not too busy that they had to wait for a table. A waitress quickly came over to take their orders before scurrying off to put them in.
