Y/N had been wanting to adopt a dog for a while now. So, when Austin surprised her by bringing home an adorable puppy from the animal shelter, she was thrilled. The little fluffball was such a adorable dog with big, brown eyes and a wagging tail that seemed to never stop.
As Y/N snuggled with the puppy on the couch, Austin couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. He loved dogs, of course, but he didn't expect that Y/N would love the dog more than she loved him. It was all in good fun, though, so he just chuckled and pretended to be offended.
Y/N, however, couldn't help but take the joke further. She took a photo of the puppy and posted it on her Instagram page. The caption read, "Sorry Austin, but I think I love this little guy more than you."
Austin rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile at Y/N's playfulness. He responded by commenting on the post, "I guess I'll have to step up my game then."
For the next few weeks, Y/N and Austin doted on the puppy, taking him for walks, teaching him new tricks, and playing with him every chance they got. As they snuggled on the couch at night with the puppy snoozing contentedly between them, Y/N realized that the little furball had brought them even closer together.
