Another drunk night

As y/n stumbled through the front door of their home, Austin was already up waiting for her. She tried to keep her balance but ended up swaying and tripping on the rug in the hallway.
Austin rushed over to catch her before she fell, holding onto her waist to steady her. "You're drunk," he said with a sigh.
"I had a few too many," y/n admitted with a giggle, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Austin chuckled, "Clearly. Did you have fun?"
Y/n nodded, "Yeah, it was a good time. I'm sorry I'm so late."
"It's okay," Austin said, guiding her to the couch. "Do you want some water or something to eat?"
"Water would be great," y/n said, patting the spot next to her on the couch.
Austin brought over a glass of water and handed it to her. "So, what did you guys do at the party?"
Y/n took a sip of water before answering, "Just danced and had some drinks. Nothing too crazy."
Austin nodded, "Sounds like fun. You know I don't mind if you go out with your friends, right? I just worry about you."
Y/n smiled, "I know, and I appreciate it. But I'm a grown woman, I can take care of myself."
"I know, I know," Austin said with a grin. "I just like taking care of you."
Y/n leaned her head on his shoulder, "I know you do, and I love it. Thank you for always being there for me."
"Always," Austin said, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Now let's get you to bed before you pass out on the couch."
Y/n laughed and let him lead her to their bedroom
