Chapter 9 | My Shuck Face

While Jeff took care of Thomas, Clint was assigned for you. But Minho insisted that he should do it, said that he wants to take care of you. He cleaned your small cuts and scratches.

You felt someone put the blanket over you and kissed your forehead.
Then the lights were off, probably because it's already bed time.

Minutes passed, you slowly opened your eyes, then you saw Minho sleeping on the chair beside you, his head resting on the table beside him.

You slowly sat up, and your back slightly aches from laying in bed for a long time.

You silently got up from bed, and went to the bathroom. You keep yourself quiet, not wanting to disturb Minho.

You showered and put on fresh clothes in your room. Then you go back to the infirmary.

Minho's still peacefully asleep, you stared at him and smiled because of how handsome and caring he is.

Minho groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He rubbed his eyes, at first he didn't notice you sitting on your bed. Then he totally opened his eyes and sees you.

"Y/N, you're awake." He smiled and sat beside you.

You smiled in response, not saying anything.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, holding your hand.

"Fine. How did you find me?"

"I followed you but you were pretty fast and I thought I lost you for a second there, then I found you sitting on the ground, sleeping. Y/N, always remember the difference between the Maze and your bed."

You both laughed.

"I was just... clearing my mind." you said.

"I know.. " he said. "Thomas came-"

"Don't." You cut him off.
Even hearing his name makes you sick.

"Okay." was all he can say.

"We should get some rest.... I mean you should get some rest. I've been sleeping most of the day.."

He laughed and laid on your bed.

"So you're just gonna watch me sleep?"
he asked, smirking.

"I will if you want to," you chuckled.

"Just lay with me instead." he said, opening his arms up.

You laid beside him and rested your head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat.

"I love you." you said. You know that you guys were not official yet, and you also know that it's kinda fast how you found a new boyfriend but for you, it feels like the right thing.

"I love myself too.." he replied with a serious tone, but even though you can't see his face, you knew he was smirking.

You playfully hit his arm and he said, "Fine, I love you too!" he laughed.

You looked at him and smiled, "Did you mean it?"

"Of course, why?" he asked.

"Prove it,"

He smiled and cupped your cheeks, then kissed you on the lips.

It felt like heaven.

He pulled away and said, " I love you, shuckface."

"I love you too, slinthead."
