Chapter 10 | Finally Out Of The Shucking Maze

Your POV

Thomas found a way out. He said we have to go through this Griever Hole.

Thomas and I really don't talk that much unless it's really important.

I let him go with Teresa.

I know some of you are expecting me to hate her, or dislike her.
But no, I don't hate her.

The truth is, we actually talked to each other. Maybe we are friends somehow.
I mean, Teresa and I were the only girls here so.

I still have Minho beside me and I know he will never leave me.

And now we are in the maze, fighting grievers to get through the hole.

"Y/N, stay close!" Minho shouted.

I did what he said and helped him fight the griever he's strangling with.

We're already in the Griever Hole, but the last door won't open.

"Y/N! Go to the griever hole with Teresa and Chuck, we'll take care of this!"
Thomas shouted.

I looked at Minho and he nodded.

"Teresa! Chuck! C'mon!" I yelled.

They obliged and we ran into the griever hole together.

Just as we're about to ran in the last door, it didn't open.

Then a round screen appeared with several numbers.

Teresa and I looked at each other.

And without hesitation I shouted,

"Thomas! There's a code, eight numbers!"

"Hey Minho, what's the sequence?"
I heard Thomas shouted.

"What?" Minho shouted back.

"The maze, what's the sequence?"

"Uhh. 7...1.." Minho shouted.

I nodded at Teresa and she pressed the numbers.

"5...2...6.."

Then a griever attacked Minho, making him fall as the griever charged.

"Minho!!" I shouted.

I was just about to go after him when Jeff charged toward the monstrous thing.

Minho stepped back and shouted,

"4, 8, 3"

I looked at the screen and saw that it worked.

The Gladers started to get in, and the first doors started to close, trapping the grievers in between.

We found ourselves in the darkness just when a door opened, lights glowing from inside.

Teresa opened it and we stepped in.

Someone held my hand, I jumped back.

I turned around to see it was Minho.
I smiled weakly and continued to walk.

It was a long hallway. Bulbs lighting up from the end.

We walked and walked, until we saw a door with a green light on the side and a sign above.

EXIT

It's letters shining with green light.

"Seriously?" Frypan said.
