Gani's POV
"Hello?" I picked up my phone which was ringing around like crazy.
"Hey Gani, so Pete and I are coming home. I'm being pretty generous right now, so do you wanna meet up somewhere or something?" Great, it was Edmund, my ex-boyfriend, Peter's little brother.
"Hey, Ed.. Nah, we broke up so I don't really wanna see him just yet, so thanks but no thanks," I replied.
"Hey that was years back and anyways I know you still like him," Edmund said.
After all these years of being friend-zoned, now he came back into my life. This was quite a shitty thing, but maybe I could meet him somehow. Without Ed's help. Ed would probably mess it up anyways with his big mouth and all..

It was 2 in the afternoon and the tea was all set on the table. Mom had set them up and prepared them just right. Just how I liked it. I happen to see a letter wide open on the table. It read:
"Dear Gani. Sorry I couldn't have tea with you today. The office called me to clock in ASAP. Enjoy the tea and remember your stack of college homework, baby.
I love you. Mom. ❤️❤️"
Oh great, first Pete comes home and next Mom couldn't join me for tea. Could this day get any worse?!
I took a sip from my cup of tea and my phone rang again. And there popped out Peter's picture. Oh shit. Peter was calling me. My whole body was thinking, pick up, don't pick up, pick up, don't pick up. But, my feelings took over my will, so I eventually did pick up the call. "Hey, beautiful," oh crap it was Pete's voice.
"Hey Peter. How are you?" I said nervously over the phone.
"Hey so, even if we did break up, I know we're still friends and all, right?"
"Yeah, of course, Pete," I replied.
"So, Ed gave me an idea. How bout the five of us head to this amazing new amusement park?" Thanks a lot Ed! 😡
"I have gotta check my schedule, Pete. I'm a super busy scholar you know, so well, maybe next time," oh shit why did I said that?!! I should've said yes.
Peter and I said our goodbyes and turned off the phone.. I need to find an excuse
