CHAPTER EIGHT

"Are you following me?"

Why would I follow him when in fact I'm actually trying to avoid him! Just why the heck he's also here!! Don't tell me he owns this hotel!!

"Of course not! Why would I?" Mabilis na sagot ko.

"First, in the bar and now in here? I don't think it's a coincidence" he said.

Coincidence naman talaga na nagkita kami kanina at ngayon.

"Think whatever you want to think, but I'm not following you." Sabi ko bago humarap muli sa front desk.

"Ms. Please give me a vacant room."

"Do you want a VIP room ma'am?" Tanong ng babae.

"Yeah sure" I replied.

Bakit ba ang malas ko ngayon? Of all people bakit ko kailangan makita si Conrad which is  yung ex ng Luna nato.

Hindi ko nalang pinansin yung taong nasa likod ko at hinintay nalang na matapos yung babae sa pag-aasikaso.

"Come with me, I have something to discuss with you" Sabi ni Conrad na nasa likuran ko.

Lumingon ako sakanya at nilagay ko ang kamay ko sa bewang ko. "Looks like ikaw yata ang sumunod sakin dito." Sabi ko.

"Why would I do that?" He answered.

"Aba malay ko, ikaw ang may sasabihin sakin diba?" Striktang sabi ko.

"This matter is supposed to be talk to your brother, but since I happen to saw you here, it would be much better if I discussed this with you since it would be inconvenience for me to talk to your brother due to my tight schedule." Mahabang paliwanag niya.

May kailangan naman pala siya sa akin tapos ang lakas ng loob niyang pagbintangan akong sinusundan siya.

"This is your room number ma'am" nabalik ang atensiyon ko sa babae na nilahad na pala sa akin ang card na magsisilbing room key ko.

"Thank you"

"I think it would be best if that matter will be directly discuss with my brother" I said bago nilagpasan si Conrad.

"Aren't you interested..."

"My brother's business is none of my business" paputol ko sa sasabihin niya.

Bumuntong hininga siya bago tumango, agad ko siyang tinalikuran at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad.

"It's about the bombing accident" pahabol pa niyang sabi.

Napatigil ako sa paglalakad at muling humarap sa kanya.

"What about the bombing?" Tanong ko.

"We're investigating about the mastermind and we got a lead" Conrad answered.

As much as I want to know the mastermind about the bombing accident, pipiliin ko paring wag makipaglapit sa kanya.

"Then you must really talk about this with my brother" I said at tuluyan ng lakad patungo sa elevator.

I need to stay away from Conrad as possible as I can, he was the sole reason of Luna's death. Luna died because she protected him, in the future, there will be a war between mafia organizations because of the ledger na pinag-aagawan nila.

Everything in Astrid becomes so chaotic, most of the noble family were massacred. All of the male leads face different kind of threats and danger especially Conrad. Pinaghihinalaan ng ibang mga sindikato na si Conrad ang may hawak ng ledger so he was targeted.
