We sat on our seats and the ghost started speaking, "Today, we will learn about the American kingdoms and their rulers." looked at Piper and we both had the same expression, Oh Boy!
The whole class, unlike as we had been told by Ron, were all interested most probably to know about our backgrounds since we didn't open up much.
"Since as long as I can remember, the USA has been divided into 12 parts, however, ruled by 13 rulers. The main rulers are 3, Lord Zeus, of the Olympian kingdom, Lord Poseidon, of the Thalassa and, Lord Hades, of the Morte, who was recently replaced by Lord Nico. It is said that the name of these rulers carries the same power that of You-Know-Who. Saying their name can be hazardous and beneficial, both."
"If they will be praised, you shall be awarded, if not, then you will die. Several have tried and failed replacing them. These 13 rulers were successors of an evil wizard, Kronos, who once had the entire American government at his feats. Even today, the evil king is not destroyed while his brethren threaten to destroy us all. Today, we will be talking about the enemy of the kingdom of Olympus and Morte while their leaders can clarify our facts themselves."
I had had enough, I raised my hand and said, "Professor, perhaps it will be better to continue the lesson after I have a little word with you and Nico outside once."
The ghost nodded and floated out, Nico followed him and so did I.
"Nico, what are you doing, you will blow our cover away!"
"Don't worry, Jase. I have got it under control. This whole thing is half truth, half lie."
"Why do you even wanna tell them in the first place!?"
"Jason, we need them to know a background story so they stop asking questions. We don't have any clue of what to tell them and if we all say different stuff, we will end up messing it up. Don't worry, if he messes it up, the field of punishment will be his stop and then Tartarus." He says pointing towards the ghost who was considerably pale and sweaty and already crying out of fear. "Oh, zip it you dolt. We are going back in."
The ghost stopped crying instantly, I opened the door and went to sit with Piper while Nico with Will. The ghost came in after a minute, though he looked completely shaken, despite all of our attempts. A few who noticed this, looked at us in shock and terror. He simply grabbed Piper's hand and held it under the desk.
The professor continued his lecture, "As I was saying, today, the lesson will be about the kingdoms of Morte and Olympus. A few years ago, a little girl, 'Hazel Levesque', a half blood was shunned away by her father. Her mother, too, happened to be possessed by an evil spirit of a witch, called Gaia. Hazel was unaware of her true identity, she spent years at muggle school, which happened to be racist. They punished the on-whites and deemed that they could rule her as they wished. One day, she found her dream boy, Sammy Valdez, but as soon as they got together, Hazel's mother, currently enchanted by the witch, took her away to Alaska. As you see, Hazel had powerful blood flowing through her and she could pull off stunts that barely any wizard could do even with a proper wand."
"The witch took profit of this and forced the girl, Hazel to bring amounts of precious jewels, from which she was resurrecting the power of his son once more who was defeated previously. One day, the enchantment on the mother broke and she turned to her true self, which was filled with kindness, truth, and care. But it was too late, the son of the witch, Alcyneous, had risen again."
The trio shared knowing looks at this, already knowing who he was.
"Hazel, being quite powerful, wanted to help to defeat this monster, but the only way to do so was to make the cavern he stayed in fall and her powers wouldn't work if she were outside due to enchantments. She went into the cavern and toppled the whole thing over Alcyoneus, but he fought through the rubble, and Hazel, instead of saving herself, used all her might to keep him contained. Hazel and Her mother, who had followed her daughter too, died. Hazel, despite any flaws, pulled off a stunt, even the most trained and brave wizards would think twice for..."
"But professor," A girl, which I thought was called Lavender asked, "We never got to know who her father was. And how did she get so powerful to perform such a charm?"
"As it happens to be, Ms. Brown, she was not a normal witch at all. Hazel, was the daughter of, the previous ruler of Morte, Lord Hades, himself and the sister of Mr. Solace-Di Angelo."
The whole class gave Nico a look of pity as well as shock. That was when Parvati spoke up, "How inhumane of Lord Hades to abandon his daughter like that."
"Ms. Patil, do not jump on conclusions, and false ones in this case. Lord Hades, himself, when told the mother of Hazel about his true self, she told him to stay away from his family forever or she would expose the wizarding community. Were he was not scared of a war, he still was in great despair at his love's prejudice."
"The story doesn't end there, though, Alcyoneus was only delayed since Gaia wasn't one to be defeated. She brought her son back, and soon 13 evil wizards, with armies of millions were standing against the 13 rulers of America. But they weren't the only ones to be brought back to life, a boy went in search of her soul and found it back, and brought her back to life."
Dean asked, "Was it Sammy, professor?"
"No, Mr. Thomas, as it happens to be, her savior sits in this room, Lord Nico, of course was the only one powerful enough to do so and he brought back his sister to life"
"The Kings and Queens, of course, unable to make a move due to the royal duties. 9 princes and princesses of these nations, struck at these wizards. They, with a little help from their parents defeated them and gained peace. However, it is still true that Alcyoneus was and will always be the biggest enemy of the Morte kingdom. Now moving to the..." The bell rang and he stopped mid-sentence, he then said, "Come in early for the next class." The students stood up and started to leave. The golden trio and one of their buddies came up to us and said, "You have got magic, I mean of course you do, but you made his class interesting, that never happens." Ron said.
"Umm... Nico?" Harry asked.
"Yeah?"
"Can I talk to you about something in private?"
"Sure thing Harry. See ya guys later!"
Harry did have a little pained expression. Wonder what that was about. Well, patience Jason, patience, it is not like he is kidnapping your little bro. Your little bro is a god. He will be fine.
