The man in the cloak

Chaos, utter chaos, Sapnap thought. If he was being truly honest, it was rather overwhelming. Still, this is what he had trained for all his life for. He wasn't gonna give up now, not for some lowlifes thinking what they're doing is for good.

No, they were bad people, undeserving of punishments such as the conformatorium and other things of the sort. They deserved to be petrified. He'd be honoured to do the job himself.

The fiends were stood atop a statue of the Emperor, blasphemy if you asked him. All with their various equipment. The bard, as usual, was front and centre, strumming like nobodies business. A snide expression practically exuding his every movement.

The other ones were also causing chaos, the pinkette with his palisman, of which Sapnap could only assume was a horse whom hailed from the human realm. They were trying set fire to the cloaks of my guards. The harpy man, on the other hand, was flying, trying to snatch guards into the sky to throw them away.

Sapnap pondered on pointing out that they're sabotaging eachother as he strode onto the scene.

"STOP!" He shouted over the chaos, the rebels didn't listen of course. He tried again, "STOP" and again they didn't listen, so he made them.

"STOP" he screamed, lacing the word with magic. "Now that your all listening, I have a message from the Emperor."

"Boys," the harpy called to his comrades, "we're listening." They all grouped up to hear Sapnap out.

"You can stop your little charade now, go home and never appear again, he'll forgive your war crimes." He paused. "And if you don't? We will have no mercy, no mercy for you. I think there's an obvious answer here boys."

The bard stepped forward.

"Songbird-" harpy started.

"No CrowFather, please, let me handle this." He shuts down whatever CrowFather was going to say, "I have an answer for you, and I'd like this resounded with my crew. If we get no revolution, we want nothing, we would rather die, than give in to you and join your dictatorship and your 'covens'."

The other traitors agreed to this.

"Then so be it," Sapnap laughed, "I've been waiting for a good fight, SCOUTS!"

The fight burst out, no one was given the chance to crowd control. Many people ran, those who didn't were fools who would be injured in the crossfire, maybe even killed.

Fire blew up the streets, no one was able to care for anyone but themselves as they escaped the battlefield. Of the two parties, the rebels were outnumbered and had to stick together even more to even have a chance at surviving.

They were backed into a corner, beaten down by the many well trained witches. A snide expression grew across Sapnaps face, he was going to win! And he would finally prove his worth to The Emperor.

Two new rebels jumped into the fray, trying their best to help fend off the Coven scouts. There was another pinkette, this one was a shorter woman, in a black cloak and grey bodysuit with jeans, masquerade mask covering her face. She was a plant witch, raising roots out of the ground to pull the men away.

The other was a demon, the species being a blaze, (creatures born from fire) was a construction witch. He wore an all black bodysuit and a generic black superhero mask. He tore bricks from the ground to throw at the scouts while helping his comrade.

These two were no match for their attackers, they were soon fighting for their lives like their buddies.

"Final warning traitors, back down now or face the full wrath of The Emperor." Sapnap shouted over the flames of the chaos. "It's impossible for you to best us!"

"Well they didn't have me." A cloaked assailant called from outside the fight. Jumping in he wrapped the heads of the scouts in a cloud of smoke.

'A child could do that, what chance does this cretin think he has?' Sapnap thought to himself. 'also why is it not effecting me?'

Screams from his crew immediately alerted them to their situation, for one they couldn't see, and not only that but they also couldn't shake it off.

And then, the most worrying part of the whole ordeal, a crescendo of shrieks in fear.

Nightmares

The cloaked character was putting all of the men through their worst fears, many fell to the ground, writhing in fear.

The rebels, who were taking this development in stride, were on their feet in an instant, all blasting Sapnap with an overwhelming amount of spite.

The man in the cloak was slowly backing away as Sapnap showed signs of being about to flee. When he was distracted, he left.

"WAIT, CLOAKED GUY! WE JUST WANNA TALK!" Songbird shouted, running to catch up with the man who saved their necks so stunningly.

The man, who was now little more than a smudge in the setting sun, clearly didn't have want to be followed it seems as he swiftly disappeared into a nearby crowd.

"We'll find him sometime soon, I can feel it." CrowFather tells him.

"He's right, nothing gets past us eventually" the gruff, monotone voice of the BloodGod agreed. "Besides, not much we can do now."

"Oh you always take his side over mine!" Songbird laughs, "you're right though."

"I'm always right." He said definitively, almost smiling under his mask.

"Let's go home bo-" CrowFather started before cutting himself off. He just noticed their fellow rebels standing there slightly awkwardly. "Oh, hello Hellfire, Nemesis, I didn't clock you over all the insanity that just happened I apologise."

"You're good" Hellfire tells him.

"Are you free to go back to base and discuss what just happened with us?" Songbird asked the duo.

"Yeah we don't have any plans." Nemesis smiles.

And in a puff they're all gone. Back to wherever their base is to discuss the unnamed individual.

That individual is on the other side of the isles, staggering back to his hobbit hole. He hadn't had to use that much magic since, well, he wouldn't want the likes of you to know about that.

He got indoors and immediately dropped his head, it bashing onto the table.

"Why the fuck did I just do that?!"
