Velaena hadn't slept that night, all she could do was toss and turn thinking about everything, mainly why they were in kings landing in the fist place.there had been rumors of the illegitimacy of lucerys birth and his birthright.

velaena knew that all this stress wasn't good for her mother especially while being pregnant. velaena had believed that this baby would be a girl and she insisted that they call her visenya, her mother liked that name too.

Rhaenyra was going to call velaena that when she was born but the name velaena had stuck out to her, almost as if the universe had helped naming her. The name 'velaena' had been believed to bring great luck and happiness. But how wrong it was..

she laid in her bed, quiet surrounded her and she did not want to get up and face the day. it was quiet and peaceful. well that was until there was a knock on the door and a guard came in. he informed velaena that someone wishes to see her in the garden right away.

she had no choice but to get up and get dressed. she put on her light blue dress which matched her eyes. it was an ocean like blue which you could stare at all day. she finished doing her hair and headed to the garden.

She arrived and saw a familiar face, it was aemond. velaena turned her back to leave not wanting to talk to aemond and cause more issues with aemion but before she left he spoke.

"please velaena, we are going to have to get along someday you are going my wife" he spoke softly staring into velaenas eyes.

"not by choice aemond, this was an arrangement none of us signed up for so you don't have to pretend to be nice to me" velaena snapped back giving aemond a pitiful smile.

"yes we didn't get to have a say in this but we can't do much about it now so i suggest we talk to each other sooner rather than later. and i'm not pretending to be nice to you" he sighs not taking his eyes off of her.

velaena smiles knowing hes being sincere, she knows he wants to make this marriage work and hes not just being nice to her for the sake of it. she smiles at him letting him know that she wants it to work too and the two pair up and start walking around the gardens.

"i know you are in love with aemion, not because you told me but i see it in your eyes. the way you look at him" he sighs not looking at velaena and she doesn't bare to look at him either as she knows it's true.

"that may be true but it is never going to work out, I'm going to be married to you in a few weeks time" velaena replies stopping in her tracks and looking at him.

"a few weeks?" aemond confusingly says, "its in 4 days velaena". and as soon as he said those words her face dropped, she was informed that it was to be in a few weeks but now all of a sudden its in two days.

She believed she had time to accept the wedding but with it only being in two days it's all hitting her suddenly.

"Please excuse me" she left instantly leaving aemond confused in the gardens. She went to go find her mother and ask if this was true.

She searched everywhere for her mother but it as if she was hiding. Eventually velaena found her mother in her chambers reading silently.

"How could you?" Velaena bursts in startling her mother. Rhaenyra had a confused look on her face almost as if she didn't know what velaena was on about.

"Mine and aemonds wedding is to be in four days" she spat glaring at her mother who finally understood why her daughter was so mad.

"Velaena, I had only found out how it was four days away only today, I was going to tell you at dinner" rhaenyra pleaded.
