They make it down to the shore, setting up a large umbrella, both of their towels and a large cooler. Alp goes down to the water as Quinn strip down to his bathing suit.

"Hey, I'm going to go explore a bit, I'll be back" Quinn shouts to Alp as he had already started to walk away, following the shore line.

"Okay, just Don't get lost!" Alp shouts to Quinn as he slithers into the water, enjoying the cool contrast of the hot summer sun and cold lake water.

Quinn keeps walking for about fifteen minutes, getting a good distance from Alp and their basking spot, till he sees a figure thrashing in the sand of the beach in the distance.

Quinn, thinking it's just someone having a bad day, approaches slowly. As he gets closer he sees that it was actually a (what he assumes is a merman) stuck in a large fishers net.

He runs to them to help before he stops in his tracks a few feet from them, looking down to see the piercing eyes of the man. The merman growls and snarles at Quinn as a form of warning, completely stopping all of their struggling."Uhm..  do you need help-?" Quinn offers, scratching the back of his neck as he crouches next to the man. The merman eyes Quinn suspiciously, seeming to take the offer into consideration, relaxing slightly. "Fine..." the merman mutters softly, in defeat, as he curls up a little.

"Here, I'll be as careful as I can" Quinn then begins to carefully unwrap the net from the man, being careful of this fins. "So uhh.. my name's Quinn, whats your's?" He asks as he continues to untangle the man from the net.

The merman looks at Quinn with what seems to be surprise before he shakes his head slightly and has a softer look to his face. "the name's finn, it's nice to meet you" finn says softly.

"Nice name. I like it" Quinn mutters as he unhooks the last bit of net from finn as he rest and sits back. Finn scoots back from Quinn, keeping a good five feet between them, relaxing more, starting to feel tired as the adrenaline leaves his system.

"So, how'd you get stuck in that net in the first place?" Quinn asked, leaning back as his tail sways, displacing the sand behind him. Finn huffs as he thinks back, his eyes drooping and brows furrowing. "Well, I was just mindin' my own business, looking for food, like a few fish or something, because I'm hungry, and I see a school of fish swimming from something. I look back behind me and suddenly see-" he looks over to the net "that fuckin thing." He says, pointing angrily at the net piled up a few feet from him.

"-and next thing I know, I'm up above the water, staring down a whole crew. They get freaked out, cut the net, not even bothering to help me out" finn lays down and closes his eyes "eventually I wash up on the shore, making getting out even more difficult" He starts to trail of and mumble as he slowly falls asleep, his exhaustion hitting him like a brick wall.

"And by the way... thanks.." fin trails off before giving in and falling asleep

Quinn looks at him shocked 'did he just fall asleep-?'
