Every time I see her, my heart skips a beat,
I try to hide my feelings, to keep them discreet.
My thoughts start racing, my palms start to sweat,
And I just can't help falling deeper yet.

I've never felt this way before,
Not for a girl, not for anyone more.
But every time she laughs or smiles,
I feel like I could walk for miles.

I want to tell her how I feel,
To let her know my love is real.
But I'm scared of what she'll say,
And how she'll react in dismay.

So I keep my feelings locked inside,
And let them grow like a rising tide.
I know it's not fair to either of us,
But I can't bear the thought of causing a fuss.
