To know what lies ahead can be a curse,
A burden that I cannot reverse.
For every joy, there's a sorrow,
And every hope, a fear to borrow.

I see the paths that lie ahead,
The twists and turns, the tears we'll shed.
I see the love, the loss, the pain,
And wish I could turn back the reigns.

To live in the present is a gift,
A chance to feel life's every lift.
But with the future laid bare before my eyes,
I can't help but feel a sense of demise.

I wish I didn't know what's to come,
And could live my life without feeling numb.
To embrace the unknown with open arms,
And let life unfold its natural charms.

But alas, I am cursed to see,
The future that awaits both you and me.
So I'll hold on tight and try to believe,
That the future holds more than what I perceive.
