Suspicion

I woke up and saw Josh was passed out next to me. So I carefully got up and I walked out to the kitchen to make some coffee. "You look like you didn't sleep." Jaden said. "Yeah, well I stayed up late cause I was waiting for Josh to come back into the room. But he took too long." I said. "Oh, I thought you guys went straight to bed after the movie." He said. "Well we were going to, but Josh said he was going to talk to you about something." I said. "I didn;t talk to Josh at all after the movie. I said bye to Ness before she left, and then i went to bed." He said. "Oh bu- Nevermind." I said.

"I wonder what Josh was doing if he told you that he was going to talk to me, but I was already asleep." He said. "Yeah. I'm sure it's nothing though." I said. "Yeah." He said. He then turned around and handed me a mug full of coffee. "Isn't this yours?" I asked. "Yeah, but you look like you could use it more." He said. "Ouch, rude." I said making him laugh. "Thanks though. I really did need it." I said and he laughed slightly. I then felt arms wrap around my waiist. "Good morning." I said. "Morning." He mumbled against the skin on my neck.

"Ness and I were going to go out to lunch. Would you two wanna come?" Jaden asked. "Yeah sure." Josh said. "Oh, actually I think I'm gonna head home. I've got some stuff I have to take care of." I said. "Oh. OKay." Josh said. "You sure you don't wanna come?" Jaden asked. "Yeah, but I hope you guys have fun." I said with a smile. I turned around and looked at Josh. "I'll see you tomorrow though, right?" I asked. "Yup. Almost 1 year." He said with a smile. I leaned forward and kissed him softly. I pulled away from him and started to walk out. I looked at Jaden and said, "See ya around." He nodded with a smile, and with that I left. I honestly had nothing to do, I just didn't want to go out today. I just wasn't feeling it. But Josh clearly wanted to go, so might as well just excuse myself from that. I was just genuinely exhausted.

*Later*

I was laying in my bed and my phone buzzed. I looked over and saw it was a text from Jaden.

Jaden: Hey I have a question that's probably gonna sound crazy...
Ember: Okay? What's up?
Jaden: Are you at all worried about Josh and Nessa being as close as they are?
Ember: No, should I be?
Jaden: No, nevermind. Just forget I ever said anything.
Ember: Oh- Okay...
Ember: Is evrything okay?
Jaden: Yeah, everything is great.
Ember: You sure?
Jaden: Yeah. I'm just being paranoid.
Ember: Okay...

I put my phone back and started thinking about what Jaden had asked me. Like why would he randomly ask me that? Does he feel worried about Josh and Nessa's friendship? Should I be worried? Like they are just friends. I know that. And I trust them. I mean tomorrow will be a year of dating Josh, and before that we were friends for a year and a half. So I trust him. And Nessa, her and I have been friends for 2 and a half, almost three years, so of course I trust her.

I know they wouldn't do that to me. Or Jaden. I mean, Nessa loves Jaden. And they are perfect together. So maybe Jaden really was just being paranoid. I mean, he has every right to be. Like after his last girlfriend Cheating on him and compleatly gaslighting the situation. I decided to stop thinking about all of that because I would start overthinking, and stressing my brain out. So, I decided to work on my plan to surprise Josh.

*The Next Day*

I was on my way to Josh and Jaden's shared apartment to see Josh, today is officially one year of us being together. Jaden was going to be in the studio all day, so that leaves me and Josh in the apartment all by ourselves. Honestly, I'm kinda glad we have time alone. Like don't get me wrong. I love Jaden, and Nessa... But I feel like anytime Josh and I hang out, they are always there.

I got to the apartment, and I saw Nessa's car. I thought nothing of it. Maybe Jaden just hasn't left for the studio yet, so maybe they were doing stuff together beforehand. I walk into the apartment quietly so that way I would ruin my surprise for Josh. I got to his room, and as I placed my hand on the doornob, I heard Josh say something from in his room. I waited a moment thinking maybe he was on the phone, but then I heard Nessa's voice. I couldn't tell what they were talking about. But I knew for a fact it was theor voices.

I opened the door, and there she was strattling my boyfriend, with his hands holding her ass, and her lips on his. "Are you fucking kidding me!?" I said. Nessa jumped and Josh pushed her off of him. He jumped out of the bed and pulled his shirt on as he walked towards me. "Em, I swear that wasn't what it looked like." He said. "Oh, so you weren't just making out with my best friend who also happens to be your best friends girlfriend?" I asked.

"Okay so it is what it looked like. But I promise... it meant nothing. Okay? I love you." He said as he reached to grab my hand. I quickly pulled mine away from his and he stayed quiet. "I can't believe you two! How could you guys do this to not only me, but Jaden?!" I asked. Nessa walked over. "I'm really sorry Em." Nessa said. "I don't give a fuck if your sorry! Sorry wont fix the fact that you were just kissing my boyfriend!" I said as my eyes started to form tears.

"Please babe, I promise it won't happen again." Josh said as he went to grab my hand once more. I stepped back and looked at him. "No, fuck you Josh. I can't believe you two. Fuck you both. I hate you guys and I never want to see you again." I said. I walked out of the room and quickly went to the front door. As I opened it I heard Nessa yell. "Don't tell Jaden Ember!" She yelled. I turned and saw her standing there.

"Are you fucking serious!?" I asked. "Yes! Just because things are over with you and Josh doesn't mean my relationship has to break up." "Fuck you Nessa, You're cheating on him! He deserves to know!" I said. "No, what he doesn't know won't hurt him." She said. "You have till the end of the day to tell him. Or I will." I said. "You wouldn't." She said. "You wanna fucking bet!? You cheated on your boyfriend, who is one of my best friends, with MY boyfriend. I swear on everything I will make your life a living hell. So yes, I will tell Jaden if you don't. Because I'm at least a good human." I said.

"Yeah, sure you're a good person, but I guess you weren't good enough in bed. Otherwise your boyfriend wouldn't have slept with me as much as he did." She said. So, this wasn't a one time thing. I looked over seeing Josh standing in the doorway of his room. "You two enjoy sleeping around. But just know karma is a real fucking bitch." I said.

(I just wanna say I absolutely love all the people in this book, and all the people in the drama that actually happened. This is not meant for hate towards any of them.
