"I'm excited to see my family, but I just don't want to make this roadtrip alone." Jaden said. I laughed then said, "Take Bryce." He laughed and said, "Yeah, take Bryce to Texas. Cause that worked so well last time." He siad. "Ohhh... riiightttt. You guys got arrested . How could I forget." I said. He laughed and shook his head. "No but seriously, just take one of the guys." I said. "They're all busy within the nest two weeks." He siad. "I'm sorry J." I said.
Jaden then looked up with a huge smile. "What?" I asked. "You could come!" He said. "Nononono, I don't want your mom thinking were... dating..." I said. He laughed and said, "She wouldn't." "Uh huh sureeee." I said He laughed. "Please come with me! Pleaseeeeee! I will do anything!" He said. I laughed at him begging for me to come. "All right all right, you convinced me!" I said with a small laugh. "YESSSSSSSS! You are seriously the best!" He said as he hugged me. I laughed. As he puelled away from me I just smiled.
*The Next Day*
I put my bag in the car and looked at Jaden. "Seriously, thanks for coming." He said. I smiled. "Of course." I said with a smile. We got in the car. "Time to hit the road." I said with a smiel. "Yup." He said. Not long after, we drove off.
*In Texas*
"I've got something for you." Jaden said. "Oh god." I said. He laughed and handed me a hat. "Gotta keep the texan look." He said. I laughed. "Thanks." I said. He smiled. "We can match." He said as he put a hat on. I laughed and put the hat on. "Wow! We look great!" I said with a smile.

I took a picture and posted it on my story with "Roadtrip partner <3" Then I tagged Jaden.
It wasn't long before we got to his families home. "Ember it's so good to see you again!" Amy said. I smiled and hugged her. Back when Jaden and I first started dating Josh and Nessa, the four of us took a trip out here. "How have you been sweetheart?" She asked. "Uh, I've been okay." I said with a smile. "Hey mom, good to see you too! Glad you missed your one and only son so much!" Jaden said as he walked up behind me. "Of course I missed you." She said before she hugged him. "Is dad home?" He asked. "Uh he's out for a bit, but he'll be home soon." She said.
We all walked inside and we sat at the dining room table. "Would you guys like some lemonade?" She asked. "Sure." Jaden said with a small smile. As his mom walked into the kitchen Jaden looked at me and said, "You should feel special, she's never like this." "Oh you quit!" Amy said making me and Jaden both laugh. She came and sat down and we all just had an amazing conversation. Amy knows all about what happened with Josh and Nessa, so she not so discreetly started saying Jaden and I should just date.
Which, don't get me wrong, dating Jaden would be amazing, but he's honestly just my best friend. I love him, as my best friend, and It's gonna stay that way. I don't want to ruin our friendship because this friendship mean the world to me. It's like a bond that can't be broken. That is, if we don't do things to fuck it up. Like.... date. "You can't tall me you wouldn't be cute together." Amy said making Jaden and I both laugh. We looked at each other and smiled.
"Well I'm still gonna say you're my future daughter in law." She said making me smile. "We really are just friends." I said. "Yeah yeah." She said. Just then the front door opened. "Look who finally decided to show up." Jaden said. His dad looked up in shock. "Surprise." Jaden said. Jaden wanted to surprise his dad for his birthday. So, that's the reason he really came out here. "No way." His dad said Jaden and I both stood up and we walked over to him.
Jaden hugged his dad, and when they pulled apart he looked at me, "Finally got a good one? She's better than the last girlfriend." His dad said making me laugh. "See!" Amy said. I shook my head and Jaden said, "Dad, Ember is just a friend." Jaden said. "Oh... well why are you being an idiot!? Ask her on a date!" His dad said making me laugh harder. "You think this is funny?" Jaden asked. "I mean, yeah." I said through some laughs. Jaden shook his head and laughed a little. "I was thinking we could all go out for dinner tonight? What do you say?" Amy asked. We all agreed.
*That Night*
I looked at my phone as I saw Amy had posted something and tagged me.

I looked at Jaden, "This is gonna be taken the wrong way." I said. He laughed. "Oh well." He shrugged. "Can you send me tha picture? It's so cute!" I said. "Of course. Anything for my future daughter in law." I said and I laughed. "This is never gonna end." Jaden said. "Just accept it." John said. The rest of the night we spent just having a great time with his parents.
We got back to the house and Jaden and I had both been tired. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't think of it till just now, but we only have one room with an extra bed." Amy said. I looked at Jaden, and we both knew what she was doing. "My bad, I'm so sorry you two." "That's all right mom, I can just sleep on the couch." Jaden said. "Nonsense." John said. I let out a small sigh. There was no getting out of this. "Yeah, J you can just stay in the room with me. It's not a big deal." I said. "Exactly." John said. Honestly, it didn't matter to me that we would share a bed. I just felt bad knowing Jaden was about to be sleeping on the couch.
"You sure Em?" He asked. "Yeah, it's fine." I said. "Okay, only if you're fine with it." He said. I smiled. "Well goodnight you two." Amy said with a smile. "Goodnight." I said. "Goodnight mom." Jaden said. We both smiled and went into Jaden's old room.
"Wow, everything is still here." He said. I laughed. "You're room's cute. Definately different than the room you had at the apartment." I said. "Yeah." He said softly. "I'm really sorry about my parents. They hated Nessa, and since they found out we broke up, they've done anything and evrything to get me with someone else. And my parents both love you. You;re family. So of course they do this." He said. I laughed a little. "It's okay, really. Like I honestly don't mind." I said. "You sure?" He asked. I nodded. "I'm just gonna go to the bathroom and change." I said. "Okay." He smiled.
