You walked along the hallway, making your way toward Eren's quarters.

You met Levi, who seemed to be going to the same destination.

"Levi," you greeted him with a soft smile adorning your lips.

He nodded to acknowledge you & you both walked in silence as you reached your destination.

You didn't mind the silence. It was not awkward. It was actually comfortable. You noticed that Levi had this ability to keep the people around him calm. It's probably one of his special Ackerman skills. But you mostly think it is a spell. You basked in the ambiance as the birds were chirping & the breeze is blowing softly as you savored the feel of your hair dancing softly in the wind. You glanced at the man walking beside you & you can't help but appreciate his appearance. Despite his usual grumpy mood, he is very easy on the eyes. You noticed how the strands of his hair dance in the soft wind & how the soft rays of the sun highlight his beauty. If not for the constant imminent danger around you, you'd consider flirting with him, even if you're not sure if the man ever flirts with anybody.

"What?" he asked as he side-glanced at you.

'Shit, I've been staring too long,' you thought. You only offer him a smile as you reply, "Nothing. I just noticed your hair has grown a bit longer."

Levi knocked & opened the door, then gestured for you to go in first.

There, Eren was sitting on his bed, with Mikasa on the chair beside him while Armin is on the edge of the bed.

"Captain, Vice Captain," the young scouts stood up with a salute.

"At ease, brats," Levi ordered, they went back to sit in their previous positions.

"How are you feeling, Eren?" You asked with concern in your tone.

"A bit better, Vice Captain," he answered politely.

Levi did not speak, he scowled as he noticed some cobwebs in the corners of the room.

You snickered inwardly as you knew how your clean-freak captain hated dirt, dust & cobwebs.

"You did well today, Eren. Don't be guilty if you couldn't kill Leonhart. She was your friend. It's normal to hesitate. It's what makes us human. Rest up, brat," Levi said, "We'll resume training soon," with that he turned his back & walked to the door.

"Make sure to feed him well, Mika-chan," You smiled sweetly & waved goodbye as you followed Levi towards the door, who was waiting for you.

You closed the door behind you & released an audible sigh.

"Oi, what's wrong," Levi asked.

"Nothing," You answered & walked as he followed you, "It's just so ironic that one has to abandon his humanity to save humanity."

He said nothing & continued to listen to you.

"It's just sad. He's only a kid," you said softly, "So is Annie Leonhart."

"That's why we have to train him," Levi finally spoke, "That's the only way we can help him control his ability."

You nodded in understanding.

"Now, where did you say Hange wants us to go again?" You turned your head as you asked him.

"Up the walls, where Annie Leonhart tried to climb."

"Let's go."
