8 : rains

You were noting down the points while your boss and the other company's CEO were discussing about the deal. They were just about to finalize the deal and you couldn't wait for the meeting to finish so you can finally fill your stomach with the dinner.

Your stomach grumbled for a second as you cursed under your breathe but what what you didn't know was the attention of the man you caught, who was sitting beside you, your boss.

He hid his little smile hearing you talking to yourself but covered it up with his professional look and continued the discussion.

You sure got his interest for him to smile even for your little gestures.

Finally the meeting got over as you checked the time , 10:09 pm it read and you widened your eyes. You still had to go back home. Not to mention that THE KIM TAEHYUNG was going to drop you off. To not be more late, you stuffed in all the food like the absolute foodie you were.

You waited for his car to arrive as he went to the parking lot to bring it as your eyes wondered to the sky above. It was surely going to rain looking at the clouds frowning with thunders.

Your trance was broke when you heard the horn of the car and your boss slid down his window to look at you. "Hop in" he said to which you nodded and sat beside him in the car.

The ride was silent and the usual two people sitting in were unusually quite. Finally, not taking the silence more, you turned on the radio only for it to not work due to the weather.

And then there was a loud thunderstorm that made you flinch not because you were afraid of it but because of the memory that was associated with it.

You lost your parents on a rainy night as well.

You don't remember the incidents but the thought was enough to give you chills. You heard him giggling from the side as you looked at him now having your attention on him.

The way his lips curved upwards into a boxy smile made your heart skip a beat. It was so unusual of him to smile like this and you felt lucky to witness this side of him.

"You are afraid of thunderstorms or what?" He asked and all the skips your heart took died down seeing him make fun of you. You could have easily retorted back but this time you just gave him a grumpy look and stared out of the window.

Taehyung's pov :

She was never this quite when it came to replying back. I immediately sensed that something was wrong. "Is something wrong?" I asked, concerned, looking at her for a second. "No nothing is wrong" she said but it felt so odd.

Before I could question more, I felt the tyres of the car not working properly so I immediately put on the brakes. It was raining heavily outside and I think the car has a puncture. "Shit" I mumbled to which she looked at me worriedly.

"What happened?" She asked. "I guess the tyre is punctured" I said and got out of the car and yeah, definitely, the front two tyres were punctured badly. I looked around and found a repairing shop nearby.

I came back with the repairman with an umbrella and went to her. I noticed her shivering badly inside. What happened to her out of sudden? I opened the door for her and she looked at me with her bambi eyes.

Those eyes of her do something to my heart.

Getting out of the thoughts, I cleared my throat and forwarded my hand for her to hold as she looked perplexed for the reason I don't know. She didn't said anything and without protest took her hand in mine and got out of the car.
