School finally started. The summer was over. Brandon and Crys stood outside of the school and decided that they would go in together.
"Oh boy..." said Brandon. "Time for torture..."
"Yeah... a whole year of this." Crys said.
They both made their way to their first classes of the day. Earlier that week, they both got their schedules and realized they had the same classes as each other. Their first class was an art class. Nothing really happened there. They sat through a long, dull, and quite boring lecture about what was going to happen in the class. Next they had Science. They got the same type of lecture in science that they had had in ar.. After Science was Math, then lunch, then PE, and finally Spanish. Every class they were in except for PE they were given the standard beginning of the year lecture. PE and lunch being the only times where the two weren't being lectured to was the only times they really got to speak at all to each other. During lunch, they found a nice table and claimed it for themselves, hopefully for the rest of the year. In PE, they did PE. Nothing fancy happened in PE class. When the school day was over, they headed back to Brandon's home. They set their stuff down in the living room and they collapsed on the couch.
"So tomorrow we have History and English instead of Math and Science?" Brandon asked.
"Pretty sure. All that lecturing is really boring though. I hope we actually DO something." Crys said.
"Agreed."
The next day they went to school and practically did the same thing all over again. After a few days of this, they finally got to do actual schoolwork in school.
The two also picked up on some of the groups. There were the stereotypical popular kids, jocks and nerds. It seemed like a stereotypical school. Neither Brandon nor Crys liked that because it meant that everything could go bad quickly. About two weeks into school, the PE teacher had everyone do laps around the track. He wanted to see everyone's best time for three laps. Crys wasn't having the best day, so she decided to just get the laps over with and relax. Because she was a werewolf, she was able to run quite faster than everyone else. She finished all three laps before the best athlete in the school was even halfway through his second. This really did not sit well with the top athlete at the school, however, if he could convince Crys to join the team, he thought that his team would win every game. The next day at lunch, Brandon and Crys were sitting at their table in the large cafeteria.
"What do you think we're gonna do in Spanish today?" Crys said.
"Dunno. Probably more review." Said Brandon.
"Hey." Said a strange voice.
Brandon and Crys paid no attention to it.
"Hey!" The voice said again, this time with much more authority.
Crys looked up. "Do you mind? I'm trying to eat." Crys said with a slight attitude.
"I saw you yesterday on the track. You got some speed. How'd you like to be a part of one of the sports teams? We could use someone with legs like yours." Said the person with the voice. He was a tall and fit person.
Crys narrowed her eyes. She wondered what he was up to. "What's your name?" Crys asked, with as little interest as possible.
"My name is Josh. I've done some asking around and it seems like not many people know you, but how do you not know my name?" Josh said with ego in his voice.
