(This chapter is a Professor Chaos x Mysterion chapter! Enjoy!)
Butters sat on the broken concrete ground in his villain lair, leaning his back up against a crumbling wall. He sighed deeply and closed his eyes.
"What's the point of all of this..." Butters whispered to himself. He took on the Professor Chaos role just to be noticed for once, and to be taken seriously. Butters thought being a villain would be fun, and he'd finally be seen as an important person, but being a villain wasn't doing anything except making everything worse.
"I'm sure being a good guy would be better..." Butters thought aloud. Then, he got an idea.
Butters quickly opened his eyes and stood up, bouncing up and down from being excited by his idea. "I need to find Mysterion!!" He told himself. Butters ran out of his villain lair, and ran to go to Tolkien's house, where the Freedom Pals' base was.

"Hey, Mysterion!" Stan called out to Kenny. Kenny perked up, hearing his superhero name be called and looking over towards the boy covered in tools. "Professor Chaos is at the top of the stairs, he's requesting to see you." Stan explained. Kenny raised an eyebrow. "Chaos? What does he want?" Stan shrugged, walked away towards Tolkien, and started chatting with him.
Kenny waited a few seconds, questioning what his arch nemesis wanted from him. It could've been a trap, but Butters wasn't that smart with coming up with good enough traps. So Kenny brushed off his idea, and walked up Tolkien's basement stairs.
There at the top stood Butters, A.K.A. 'Professor Chaos' in roleplay. He was jumping up and down, smiling widely, which was pretty unusual for a bad guy.
Kenny crossed his arms, looking at the other teenage boy. "What do you want from me, Chaos?" He spat. Butters quickly put his hands onto Kenny's shoulders, and shook him aggressively. "I want to join the Freedom Pals so that way I can be a good guy, since being a bad guy is so lonely and sad for me, and you look so happy being a good guy, so I hope I can become your sidekick or something!!" Butters rambled. Kenny gently pushed Butters off of him, trying to understand what he had just said. Butters noticed his confusion and laughed, "I want to be a good guy!"
This took Kenny slightly off guard, why would a villian want to become a hero? "...Why?" He asked Butters. Butters put his hands behind his back and rocked his body back and forth. "Like I said, It's pretty lonely and sad being a bad guy, and you always look so joyful when you're out saving the world. I want that too." He smiled.
Kenny was hesitant, not knowing if he should believe Butters, it seemed very suspicious. "Okay, and why should I believe you?" Butters tilted his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Why not? I'm not a great liar, I think we both know that." He said. Kenny took a long look at Butters, it seemed that he was telling the truth.
"...So if you are telling the truth and I do decide to get you into the Freedom Pals, what do you expect me to do to help?" Kenny stated. "Well...I guess just ask the rest of the Freedom Pals if I can join!" Butters chirped. Kenny closed his eyes and shook his head, sighing deeply. "No no no, we can't just ask them that. You've gotta do something to prove that you're good enough to join us." Butters tilted his head, confused. "Like what?" Kenny thought for a second.
"Big Gay Al's cats escaped his house, apparently for the second time, and he asked all of us to look for them. If you come along with me and help me find those cats, I'm sure everyone else will let you join." Kenny suggested. Butters gasped, "Sure!!" Kenny nodded, and took Butters' hand. "Let's go then."
Kenny dragged Butters out of Tolkien's house, and out into the streets.

"So where do we look first?" Butters asked, skipping beside Kenny. "Big Gay Al said one cat likes to hang out in a tree by Super Craig's house, so we can go there first." Kenny responded. Butters nodded and ran off in the direction to Craig's house. "Wait- wait for me, Chaos!!" Kenny yelled, running behind the other.
They both made it to Craig's house, and saw the specific tree a few houses down. "Over here Mysterion! I see the cat!!" Butters zoomed over to the tree, and started making noises to get the cat down while holding his arms out. "Slow down! Jesus Christ!" Kenny gasped for air, after chasing Butters.
"Come on kitty!!!" Butters said loudly, waving his arms around. The cat hid farther back into the tree, scared of Butters. "Dude, you're scaring it." Kenny scoffed. "No I'm not!! I'm a good guy now, I'm not scary!" Butters furrowed his eyebrows and glared at Kenny, offended. "Then why is it hiding from you?" Kenny asked. "Because it's a silly cat, now help me get it down!" Butters scolded Kenny. Kenny rolled his eyes and groaned, standing next to Butters and putting his arms out too.
"Pspspspsps, come here kitty cat!" Kenny called. The cat hissed down at the boys from the tree, and then jumped down into the snow, running away. "I got it, I got it!!!" Butters sped after the cat, yelling. "Do you now?!?" Kenny ran after him once again.
No matter how fast they both ran, the cat was faster than them; and eventually Kenny and Butters lost it around a corner. "God dammit!!" Kenny stomped his foot and shouted. Butters stopped running, and panted. "No...no no no!!! I have to get that cat!!" He raised his voice. "Ugh...chill out Chaos. I'm sure that cat didn't get far." Kenny mumbled. Butters clenched his body angrily.
"You don't get it! I have to get that cat soon!!" Butters turned around to Kenny and yelled at him. Kenny backed up a bit, putting his hands out in front of his chest. "Woah, relax dude!!-" "No! No I won't relax! Finding that cat is the only way I can get into the Freedom Pals and be a good guy!!" Tears started forming in Butters' eyes, and trickled down his red cheeks.
"Why on earth do you want to be a good guy?! It sucks!" Kenny yelled back. Butters shook.
"Because my parents will finally love me if I do something good!!"
They both went silent, and Butters was sniffling up snot that was dripping from his nose.
"...Butters..." Kenny broke character. "I'm so sorry." He added on. Butters tried to hold back his tears and looked down at the ground. "I want...to be good..for them.." He sobbed.
Kenny slowly walked over to Butters and pulled him into a hug, which made Butters break down and fall into Kenny's arms, soaking his superhero costume with his salty tears. "Hey, hey, Butters. I'm here." Kenny whispered into his bright red ear. Butters held on tight to Kenny and kept crying.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you, I didn't know this meant that much to you." Kenny hushed. "It- it does.." Butters cried. "I know that now, and I'm sorry."
Kenny comforted Butters for a few minutes, allowing him to let it all out.
Kenny slowly pet the top of Butters head, brushing his hair into place. "Just relax, it's just me here." Butters looked up at Kenny and wiped his tears off using his wrist. Kenny smiled at him.
"I think you're a good guy just for wanting to be one." Butters sniffed, "Really..?" Kenny nodded yes and Butters smiled widely.
"Thank you, Mysterion." Butters said, going back into roleplay.
