Chapter Three: Jay Tells Zane

Jay's POV:

"Okay, what is it?" Zane asks. I feel like I'm drowning in a pool of guilt. I hate that I'm the one telling him. "So um, today I was walking to my last class of the day and I saw our girlfriends kissing." I look at him. I can feel his heart breaking inside him. He begins to cry. I quickly hug him and hold him in my arms as he cried. "I'm so sorry, Zane. You didn't deserve this." I told him. I look at him and whip his tears. "Zane, if your girlfriend can't appreciate how amazing, kind, and caring you are, she doesn't deserve you." I said "But Jay, your girlfriend cheated on you too." says Zane. I forgot about that part. "Yes, she did. But I was beginning to loose feelings. I have someone else in mind." I told him as I start to blush. "Oh, you were? Who else do you have in mind?" Zane asks. I feel my face turn a bright red. "Can I just give you some details about him?" I say. "Oh sure. Whatever makes you the most comfortable." he says with a small smile on his face. "Okay, he's smart, tall, kind, caring, and amazing. I don't know if he likes me back though." I tell him. "Wow, he sounds like a great guy." Zane says. He looks kind of sad. "Hey Zane, how about we make some cookies to cheer you up?" I say. He smiles. "Okay." He says. We go downstairs to the kitchen to bake the cookies. I pulled out the recipe and showed it to him. Zane then pulled out eggs, flour, sugar, chocolate chips, water, butter, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and baking soda. I preheated the oven to 350. I beat the butter and eggs while Zane added in the eggs and vanilla extract. After that, Zane dissolved the baking soda in hot water and then added it into the mixture beforehand. I really wanted to do that part but Zane didn't want me to burn myself. I then added in the flour and chocolate chips. Zane stirred them in after. Chocolate chip cookies were Zane's favorite. I'm sure he's going to love these! We then put the dought on the cookie sheet. Zane put the cookies into the oven. "Okay, they will take 10 minutes to cook." he said starting a timer on his phone, "what do you want to do?"

Zane's POV:

"I don't know," says Jay, "do you have any ideas?" Jay and I have been friends for years and Jay ALWAYS had something he wanted to do. It was very rare he wouldn't. Normally it was because he was sad or there was something on his mind that he needed to get out to someone. But this time, I'm not going to ask what's up or how he's doing, I'm going to ask him to be my boyfriend. Of course, Pixal and I are still together so Jay and I can't be offical yet. Plus, he's still dating Nya. But that will change very soon. "Yeah, let's go for a walk in the park. I'll buy you dinner too," I said. I look at Jay. His brown eyes look at me in awe. He looks very excited. "WAIT, REALLY?!" Jay exclaimed. "Yes, Jay. I will. I'll take you wherever you want," I said with a smile on my face. Jay looked so happy and I loved it. "OH MY GOD, THANK YOU SO MUCH ZANE!!!" he says. "Anytime," I told him. Little does he know, I have much more than dinner and a walk planned.
