Chapter Four: Zane's Confession

Zane's POV:

Jay and I are headed to Master Chen's for dinner. I don't really know how but I kind of just want to go for what feels natural. "C'mon Zane! I'm starving!" Jay groaned. I grabbed his hand and ran towards the restaurant. He turned a bright red. I'm guessing he feels the same about me. This makes me less nervous to confess. I am greeted by Skylar, Master of Amber. She's Master Chen's daughter. "Hey Jay and Zane," Skylar said, "it's been a while!" "Indeed it has been," I replied. "So, what can i do for you guys?" She asked. "A table for two please," I told her. A smirk appeared on her face. "Alright, follow me," she said. We followed her to a tall table. We thanked her and she walked away. We sit down and I look at Jay. His curly brown hair, his light brown eyes. He's just so beautiful. "So, how was your day?" Jay asked me. He seemed nervous. "It was great, how was yours?" I said. "It was good," he said. Something was up and I'll fix that. "Are you okay? You seem upset," I asked. "Just a lot on my mind right now," He said. "Do you want to talk about it?" I said. He looked up at me. "I'm not sure if I'm ready to yet," he told me. "Thats okay," I informed him, "take your time with it." "Thank you." A smile appeared on his face. I smiled back as a "Your welcome". "Okay, let's eat now. I'm STARVING." Jay said very over dramatically. We both grabbed a dish and began to eat. "What should we do about..you know..." he asked me. I wasn't really sure what I was gonna do with Pixal yet. We've been dating since the second coming of the Over Lord. We're a great example of a couple for many people but Pixal cheated and that isn't fair to me. I need to break up with her. "I'm going to break up with her," I told Jay. Jay looks at me with complete and utter shock. "Wait, actually?!" he said. He sounded excited and concerned. Was he hoping to date me? "Yes, I need to do what is best for myself and Pixal," I said. "That's so mature," Jay told me. What is Jay going to do about Nya? "What are you going to do?" I asked. "The same as you. It's not fair to me or her to keep her in a relationship with me. Plus, I don't really like her anymore." Jay said. What if I have a chance? What if he likes me back? I thought, I have to tell him now or I may never have a better time! "Jay, there's something I need to tell you.." I said. "What is it?" he said curiously. "Well, Jay, I've liked you for a long time but I never knew how to tell you and we were both in a relationship. You don't have to like me back but I just want you to know how I feel." I said. Jay's expression was hilarious. He was so red and had such a silly smile pasted on his face. He clearly didn't know what to say. After he got a hold of himself, he looked at at me for a fee minutes before kissing me. I was shocked but kissed back. This was the happiest day of my life.
