Chapter 11: Memories

Kai's POV:

Flashback

It's a dark summer night. I'm outside on a balcony with Quinn. "So, how are you and Skylor?" she says. I look down at my feet. "We're alright," I tell her, "we got into a fight yesterday though." She looks at me, worried. "What did you guys fight about?" she asks me. "She cheated on me with someone else and she's denying it." I say. Quinn looks shocked. "WHAT?! DID SHE REALLY??" She yelled. After realizing how loud she yelled she covered her mouth with her hand. "Sorry, I just can't believe she would do something like that!" Quinn exclaimed. I turn and look at her. "I don't know," I say, "I dont really think she would do something like that." I sigh leaning over the railing. "Me either," she says swatting away some flies, "god, there are so many flies out here!"

End of Flashback

Kai's POV:

That..memory. Who did she cheat on me with? If she cheated. This question has went through my head thousands of times and never have I actually had any idea who it could've been. It could've been anyone but now that I know that Skylor is lesbian, that narrows it down. Skylor likes either Quinn or Nova. If it was Quinn, then that means she's a lying ass bitch and she's a home wrecker. But if it's Nova, she could've easily not have known Skylor and I were dating. She wasn't friends with me until recently. Although, Nova and Quinn seem to be getting a bit touchy so maybe they're dating. After all, Quinn and I aren't as close as we used to be. Gra—

Cole's POV:

"KAI!!!" I yelled. Kai finally got out of this trance he was in. I slap myself in the face. Kai looks at me. "What??" he says confused. "We're here." I tell him. Kai and I get out of the car and walk over to Zane, Skylor, Lloyd, and Grace. "Hey, Kai's here." I say. "Finally, its about time!" says Lloyd. Lloyd looks at Kai, Zane, and I. "Okay, Kai, Zane, and Cole, I need to guys to get ready go into the warehouse," Lloyd says, "Skylor and Grace, I need you to wait outside and keep guard. We don't want any unexpected visitors." We all nod. I try to look through one of the windows. It looks kind of empty but I feel like someones in there.

Zane's POV:

I miss Jay. I miss him so much. I never got to say goodbye. This is all my fault. If I had been stronger, he wouldn't be where he is now. Skylor puts her hand on my shoulder and smiles at me. "Hey, it's okay. We will get Jay back." she says. I give her a quick smile. I never got to tell Jay how I feel about him. I love Jay. He's amazing, kind, handsome, funny, and cute. He always know how to make me smile.

Meanwhile...

Nova's POV:

I go to Sage's contact and call her. Ring ring..Ring ring..Ring r- "Hey Nova!!" says Sage. "Hey! So Quinn and I heard about you kidnapping Jay and we want to help." I say. "You do?? How can I trust you???" asks Sage. Quinn and I look at each other smiling. "The Ninja are on their way to that warehouse right now. They think that you're there but I highly doubt you are." says Quinn. "Hmm.. Okay, I think you're good for the moment. Keep me updated on stuff like this and I'll let you know where I am."says Sage. Yes!!! This is what we needed to hear! "Thank you, Sage, for letting us help you!" says Quinn. "Of course, now I better be off. I have to give Jay food. Bye!!" says Sage before hanging up. "Kay, did you track where she was calling from?" I ask. "Yes, it's in an apartment building next to Borg Tower." says Kay. "Great! Let's tell the ninja." I say.

Time Skip

Lloyd's POV:

"Lloyd," yells Quinn, "you have to see this!!" Kai, Zane, Cole, Skylor, Grace, and I run over to see what it is. We look at the screen and we see a map with a red dot, marking a location. "What is it?" I ask. "We were able to track down Sage's location. I dont know how much longer she'll be there though." Quinn says. She looks anxious. "Sorry, I need a break. I'll be back." she says. "Me too, we'll be back." says Grace. They walk out of the room and go outside. What are they doing? Kai looks at them but then turns right back to me and smiles. I smile back but still wondering what the girls are doing. "Alright, does anyone have any ideas what we could do with this information?" I ask turning to look at everyone. "We could invade it." says Cole shrugging. I giggle. "Yes, but this would make it obvious to Sage that Nova and Quinn are not on her side." It's silent for a moment. "Well, we could just do nothing." says Skylor. "I hate to say it but she's right. If we go there now, we will expose Nova and Quinn and I highly doubt we will successfully get Jay. Plus, we don't know if Sage is a huge threat to us or not yet." says Kai. Zane looks down sad. "Okay then, we wont do anything for the time being," I say, "let's all go and do our own thing." Everyone nods in agreement. I leave the room to go find Grace and Quinn. I walk outside to see them sitting down on the stairs of the monastery. "Hey guys!!" I say. They turn to look at me. "Oh, hey Lloyd!" says Quinn, motioning for me to sit down with them. I walk over and sit next to Quinn. "Hey Lloyd," says Grace, "what did we miss out on?" I look at her. "Oh, we aren't gonna do anything with the location at the moment. We don't know what she's capable of yet." I explain. They look at me kind of shocked. "Really? I thought you guys always liked to jump right into action." says Grace. I laugh. "No not all the time," I say, "We know when we should be cautious." Quinn shrugs. "Makes sense." she says. "Anyways, I have to go get ready for my date with Kai. I'll see you guys later." says Grace getting up. "Okay, have fun!!" says Quinn waving. "So, Lloyd, how are things with you and Cole." she said smirking at me. My face flushes a bright red. "How did yo-" I was cut off. "It's a lot more obvious than you think." she said, "Give me details!!" She had a huge smile on her face. Wow, she's really interested. "Well, Cole and I haven't made it official..yet." I told her. Quinn's face lit up. "You guys are gonna be so cute together!!!" she said smiling at me. "Thanks." I said. Oh shit, I was supposed to hangout with Zane! "I gotta go, I forgot I was supposed to hangout with Zane." I told her getting up. "Oh okay, have fun!!" she said. I walk back into the monastery and head to Zane's room. I knock on the door.

Zane's POV:

I hear a knock on my door. Must be Lloyd. "Come in," I say. Lloyd walks in and sits down on my bed. "Sorry I didn't show up for a while, I lost track of time," he says. I look at him and smile. "It's okay, I am just glad your here," I say. He smiles at me. "How are you holding up with everything that's happening? I know how close you and Jay were," Lloyd says in a more serious tone. I never really thought about what happened. All I know is that it was my fault for what happened to Jay. I feel terrible. I love him so much. We used to hangout all the time. He's such a fun person to be around. I wish I tried harder in the moment. I miss him. "I don't know. I wish I had tried harder to save him. I feel weak and stupid for not," I tell him staring at the floor. "Hey, it's okay," he says putting a hand on my shoulder, "No one blames you for what happened. You tried your best." I look at him. "I feel like it was though. It should've been me, not him. Ugh, I just miss him so much." I said with tears in my eyes. Lloyd looks at me sad. "Jay and I were really close. So close in fact, I developed feelings. I love him, Lloyd. Jay and I have kissed twice before but I don't know if he likes me like that. I've even confessed to him, just no response." I told him. Lloyd looks at me like he wants me to tell him more. "Well, when you had just been rapidly aged by the tomorrow's tea, Jay and I were hanging out in his room..."

Flashback

Jay's POV:

"Hey Zane!" I yelled. "Hello, Jay." said Zane waving at me. "Do you wanna hangout?" I asked. He smiles at me and blushes. "Of course, why wouldn't I?" he says. "Great!! C'mon, let's go to our room!!!" I said grabbing his hand and dragging him to our room. Zane and I are really close. He's very kind and caring. I'm glad that him and I are friends. We arrived at the room and I opened the door. Zane came in and lied down on on my bed. "You're bed is so comfortable." said Zane. I look at him and smile. "Thanks!" I said proudly. Eventually, Zane sits up and I sit next to him. "So, what's up?" I asked. Something I had noticed was that Zane was the most comfortable around me. Zane looks down at the floor. "Nothing really, how are you and Nya?" he says blankly. Woah, Zane never asks stuff like this. Never once during Nya and I's relationship had he ever asked how it was. "Uhh.. It's going good. How are you?" I replied. "I'm okay," Zane paused, "Jay, I can tell you anything, right?" He looked back up at me. "Of course, Buddy! What do you want to tell me?" I asked him smiling. Zane looks back at the floor. It was quiet for a while. "Jay, I've had a crush on you for quite a while now but I never knew how to tell you or what to say. Please be honest with how you feel about me. If you don't like me back, please tell me we can still be friends." He said. I looked at him shocked then turned to look at the floor. I would've never guessed Zane had a crush on me. "Zane, I-I don't know what to say." I said still shocked. "How you feel." He said still very blank. I was like all of his emotion and his voice and movement was gone. I really have no idea if I like him back. Maybe I do but I'm not sure. "Well, um, I don't really know." I said nervously. Zane looked at me, showing little emotion. "Oh alright," said Zane, "Is there anything else I could do to help you figure out your feelings?" Hmm.. Maybe there is but what woul- "Maybe if we..I don't know...kissed?" I said looking at the floor completely flustered. I feel Zane's cold hand touch my face. He turns my face to look at him. His face was a bright red. "Are you 100% sure you are comfortable with this?" He asks me worried. Why is he worried? I nod. I slowly close my eyes and kiss him. Wait..WHAT DID I JUST DO?!?! I'M DATING NYA!!! I swiftly pull away. "I'm sorry, Zane but I'm dating Nya. We can't be together." I said with a frown. "Oh okay, I understand," He said, "I'm gonna go, I'll be in the gaming room if you need him." He runs out of my room. I'm sorry, Zane. Maybe some day.
