Beauty and the marquess! Lady Eva Hastings story

There once was a family with six girl's!

Yes! Six girls all different as night and day, chalk and cheese!

The earl and countess of harven tried very hard for the longed for son and heir!

But every time a little pink bundle was born the sex always the same "You have a girl My lady and My lord" pronounced the Dr.

The countess of Hardens latest pregnancy was tiring at the age of 38, Elisabetha told her husband Alexander "No more babies"

"I pray this child is our longed for son and heir said Elisabetha frankly."

But alas their longed for heir was not to be "Only another Girl born"

Elisabetha was tired almost fed up "what can you do with girls she grumbled?"

The earl and countess married rather late in life Elisabetha 26 and Alexander 34!

Elisabetha thought she would never marry or have children because of her wicked mother.

Then Alexander The Earl of Harden came strolling along and whisked Elisabetha off her tiny feet!

Elisabetha had long black hair and sparkling green eyes.

Her mouth would turn up at the corners when she was happy or laughing.

Alexander was blond, blue eyed and over 6 feet tall.

He was handsome in a Greek god way. His profile said it all when they met. Alexander turned his head locking eyes with a beautiful dark haired girl and fell instantly smitten.

After being married for 12 years their love for each other was still as strong the day they met On the ballroom floor.

After having six girl's it was time to marry each girl off.

Eva the eldest and first born was like the sun, golden blond hair that shone like sunlight, baby blue eyes like the morning sky, and skin flushing rosy hue.

The only problem was Eva had a mind of her own and loved to read and ride her horse "Malt"

Bonny the second born had darker blond hair with green eyes.

Bonny was the fidget gidget always rushing backwards and forwards never sitting still.

Jessica the third liked to sing her voice was like a nightingale a joy to listen to.

Jess as Jessica was known had black hair like a crow, with aqua blue eyes like the sea.

Natasha the 4th wished she could be a teacher and help the under privilege

Natasha was the helper.

Natasha had the palest blond hair like corn silk and the palest blue eyes clear like Ice crystals.

Fifth born Harriet was the dreamer her nose in a bronte novel or Mary Shelley Frankenstein novel.

Harry loved mysteries and vampires

Would play practical jokes on all her sister's

Harriet had titian hair with green eyes like emerald's, freckles covered her pert turned up nose.

The baby of the family Olivia whom was to be Oliver if born a boy.

Was nick named olli was the mischief maker and trouble maker.

Olli had a deeper auburn shade and violet coloured eyes with pale alabaster skin.

Olli and Harry were the best of friends

Natasha and Jessica were also good friends.

Eva and Bonny were at times at logger heads due to such different personalities.

Eva and Bonny were always looking out for their younger sisters not to put a foot wrong.

Chapter 1

Eva's story

Lady Eva Hastings.

1830 Yorkshire, England

De Vere estate!

The moon shone on the silvery lake with the dark black sky looking down upon the festivities below.

The earl and countess of harven were in deep conversation about their 17 year old daughter Eva!

Lady harven continued "I don't know if Eva is ready to go on the marriage mart?"

Lord harven snorts distastefully "Darling Eva is of age she must make her come out this year!"

"I know I worry to much my mama instincts I suppose Lady Harden voice trails off"

"Eva is our first born and you care very much my dear but it's time she settled down with a husband Lord Harden abruptly retorts back."

Lady harven deep in thought reminds Alexander quietly "You know Eva has a mind of her own"

"If the man does not have anything of interest thats the end you realize dear?"

"We have spoilt her rotten Lady Harden reminds her husband clearly."

"I just don't know what to do" Lady Harden replied in desperation, figuring out the best way to tell Eva about her come out?

Lord harven takes his wife's hand in his. "Marriage i see is the only way our darling daughter will grow up" Lord Harden sardonically replies so self assured.

"Eva will marry by the end of the year no if's no buts" Lord Harden sternly reminded his wife.

"Everything will work out fine my love Wait and see"

Oh yes we will wait and see seethes Lady Eva Hastings listening in to her parents private conversation!
