"Dearest Penny whatever is the matter" said Eva pulling her ex ladies maid into a great big hug?

Sniffing into her pretty pink hanky Penny sniffed wiping her eyes shakily going quiet.

"Oh Eva" her voiced wobbled unable to contain herself any longer "Married life is........ how do I explain" crying even harder?

"Hush Penny" said Eva escaping to a quiet private room where they can talk.

Offering Penny's shaky hands a small glass of brandy, "Here drink this it'll warm your insides" muttered Eva concerned by the pallor of her ex ladies maid complexion.

Pulling up a chair, Eva sat holding one of Penny's hands almost chilled to the bone. Penny sipped the firey amber liquud down her throat coughing once the liquid slid down burning.

"Good drink huh" said Eva eyeing Penny keenly in question to her comment?

Still coughing Penny's voice was squeaky blurting out "Yes" her face suddenly a red hew from her coughing fit.

"Explain to me why you are so sad dearest penny?"

Penny sat silent her lips drawn into a thin disappointed line of suffering for these lasts few weeks were the worst yet to befall them.

Taking another sip penny opened her mouth to talk and......nothing came out only a gurgle sound.

"Are you alright" asked Eva taken aback?

Still silent Penny opened and shut her mouth resembling a gold fish under water.

Shaking her body Eva stared deep into her clear eyes, "talk penny spit out what is bothering you?"

"I cannot I am to embarrassed since finding out" resonded Penny now able to speak her mind.

"Finding out about what" said Eva plainly dumbfounded still gripped Penny's hands in hers?

"Tell me" ordered Eva never happy leaving words unsaid?

"Is it about Chester" said Eva showing some surprise in her voice?

"No-well maybe" stuttered Penny unsure where to begin her story?

"Starting from the beginning is always best" Eva smiled encouraging Penny by a friendly face.

"Okay fine i did warn you the news is terrible, Chester found out who my father" is blurted out Penny unstoppable now.

"And?"

"Who is he Penny" requested Eva slowly coming to her own conclusion.

Tears fall down her already damp skin "I am so........sorry" falling into a heap on Eva's shoulder.

"Penny you cannot just leave me in suspense" retorted Eva eager to know the mystery of her ex maids father?

"I think I may do" said Penny unable to comprehend who her father was nade bile rise up into her throat.

Bitten by the moment Penny outraged ranted, "I cannot believe my biological mother would want to be tumbled by a horrid man in all of England" replied Penny extremely angry.

"So what has this to do with Chester" said Eva folding her arms across her chest?

"He hates me because my father is an enemy of our country?"

Eva's eyes bulged out of her eye sockets contemplating who this mystery man was?

"Oh dear and....." expressed Eva grasping every word Penny told her?
