“Pardon me?” Bella asked, confused, her heart racing in shock.

The woman had blonde short hair just above her shoulders, dark circles under her eyes as if she hadn’t slept for days, freckles on her upper cheeks and her nose like she’d been in the sun for hours and her grey dress almost worn out and holding a head scarf. She looked tired but active, her lips dry.

“You’re the girl!” she spoke.

“I... I don’t... who are you?”

People were starting to stare and murmur to one another and they both noticed. She almost went near Arabella but Caldor stepped beside her so protectively that the woman stopped in her tracks and took a warily step back.

“What’s going on?” Daya peered her head out the glass door.

A woman came out after Daya. “You! Leave her alone!” The woman from the store said.

The woman outside steps back, frowning.

“Get away from her!” she repeated standing in front of Bella defensively.

“I just...”

“Yeah! Leave her alone!” Miss Angela, the vendor shouted and everyone started to murmur and people started to curse.

The woman stepped back even further. “I’m sorry... I... I might’ve confused you with someone else...” She ran off putting her head scarf on.

Caldor turned Bella to face him by the sides of her arms. “Are you okay?”

Arabella was compelled to turn and look at the woman who just left. She watched her go.

“Ms. Heydar! Arabella! Look at me!” she turned to look at him with confusion in her eyes. “Are you okay?”

She nods. “Yes... I... Yes!”

"Are you sure?"

"I'm fine."

Caldor looked at her worried and curious. He rubbed the sides of her arms involuntarily to calm her because he could feel her going nervous.

“Hey sweetie!” the woman from the store said turning to her, “Are you okay?”

“Who is she?” Bella asked getting out of Caldor’s grip.

“Yeah!” Daya joined Bella.

“Don’t mind her. She’s crazy.” the woman told her taking her by the hand, “Next time you see her, you dodge her. Run the other way!” Bella just nodded and she smiled. “It’s good to see you sweet Bella!”

“It’s good to see you too, Regina.” Bella responded but she was distracted.

“Come on in!” Regina pulled her.

“You guys! There’s really interesting fabric in here... come on!” Mia said peeping her head at the crack she held open at the door, totally oblivious to what happened. Everyone turned to look at her and she noticed Bella, “Bella, what’s wrong? You look pale.” she asked clueless.

“Just go in and I’ll wait out here.” Caldor informed Bella.

“You’re not going to the bank?” Bella asked.

“That can wait! I already have one hurt student, I’m not planning to have another.”

“Come on!” Regina said pulling her in.

“You can join us Caldor.” Mia suggested.

“Don’t step on my dignity, Mia. I’m already sleeping in an inn.” Caldor stood guard outside.
