"Ms. Heydar... Ms. Heydar..." Arabella heard voices but didn't recur to them.
All that came back in her head was blood, gore, fire, screams, people running, people stabbing and her being pushed off and getting back up then finally an image of a boy on top of a woman, shielding her, but they were both lifeless on the pile of lifeless bodies.
"Arabella!" her father's voice rang. "Arabella..."
"Arabella!" a firm voice and a shake, brought her back with a gasp on her lips. Her eyes opened to Janine holding her by the shoulders.
She traced her eyes back to the school healer, physician, a woman she didn't recognize, the supreme master, and surprisingly, Caldor.
Did he have to be involved in everything? she thought.
She looked around and noticed her change in scenery. She was in an office and she didn't remember getting there.
"Are you here now?" Jenny stared straight at her. "You've been out for a while."
"Out?" Bella asked.
"You zoned out." Jenny removed her hands from her shoulders.
"I... I... Was she pushed?" Bella finally spoke, her expression flat.
"What?" Jenny asked.
"Eva. That was Eva, yes?" Bella asked them, more like informed them.
"What did you see, Ms. Heydar?" The supreme master asked.
"I saw her crash in front of me." Bella had a calm demeanor.
"Are you okay?" The woman she didn't recognize asked.
"And you are?" Bella turned to her.
"The institute's therapist. Eleanor Shieldridge."
"What did you see apart from her falling from the building?" Caldor asked.
"Caldor..." Jenny turned to him.
"From the sixth floor." Bella said. "She was seated at the window on the sixth floor."
"You saw that?" Caldor narrowed her eyes.
"She... she kept glaring at me but I didn't think anything of it."
"And?" The supreme master asked.
Bella turned to her. "She's dead."
"What happened before she fell?" The supreme master asked.
Arabella opened her mouth to speak then observed the whole room. They were looking at her weirdly, especially the supposed therapist. Bella turned to her clothing and saw she was bloodied especially at her lower half.
"I need to change from these." Bella wiped off but kept smudging more.
"How are you feeling?" The therapist asked.
"She didn't fall on me. Don't worry."
"No. As in, how are you? A girl just fell in front of you and died." The healer finally spoke.
"I don't need therapy. I'm fine."
"With a fall like that and that amount of blood, no one can just easily be fine, sweetie." The therapist told her with a warm smile.
Bella looked at her with furrowed brows. "Do you think something is wrong with me?"
"No, I..."
"I am fine. I've seen worse." Bella told her. "Can I be excused now before I start smelling like Eva's insides?"
