NOT SO HONEYMOON

You look over at Jungkook next to you. He barely talked to you at the airport and now during the flight, he was too disracted playing games on his phone.

It felt like he was trying to find ways to not talk to you, to just completely ignore your presence even tho you were now his wife.

You already wanted this plane to turn around and fly back to Korea. The idea of this honeymoon and marriage being the biggest mistake just couldn't leave your thoughts, and it made you really sad.

It just simply wasn't working. Or alteast the effort to try wasn't coming from the both of you.

Yesterday at the wedding, he seemed alright. He didn't talk as much as the other people there, but he tried his best. He exchanged a few words with you, but since this morning he's been awfully quiet.

You tried to encourage him to talk, but he mostly just looked at you for a few seconds and then took a bite of his breakfast again.

You sigh and lean your head against the chair.

"Elijah! I'm so glad you picked up the phone."

Elijah is an old friend of yours. He's originally from India, but he moved to the United States for a better life and a good opportunity in college.

You became friend in with him a couple of years ago, when you both studied at Harvard. You dropped out, because you never really liked the study of law and continued following your heart.

Eventually you moved back to Korea, and Elijah finished his law degree and managed to pass the bar.

"I was making myself a midnight snack. You're lucky this time," Elijah chuckles. "I'm sorry I couldn't come to your wedding... wich was kind of out of nowhere?"

"Tell me about it," you sigh and dip your feet in the pool. "It's an arranged marriage. I didn't know I was getting married until like two weeks ago."

"That sounds bad... Like, really bad," Elijah says. "Or isn't it? Is it a nice guy?"

"I don't know. He doesn't talk to me, Elijah. I really don't know what to do and it makes me so frustrated," you splash your feet into the water. "This all is just so out of my control."

"Maybe he just needs some time to loosen up? Some people are tense or shy," Elijah says.

"At this point I just think he's a cold guy. He doesn't smile at me, talks to me or anything like that. This marriage is already a fail and we're only one day in."
