TWO GHOSTS
You look at your hand without the wedding ring around your finger. The last time you saw Jungkook was last week, when you both took off your wedding ring and gave it back to your fathers.
Your divorce was finalised after about three months of trouble and arguing about the contract. Divorcing Jungkook meant that the entire marriage contract had to be destroyed, and Jungkook's father didn't like that.
Even tho Jungkook had told his father it was okay, his father continued fighting against it. He eventually had to give up because Jungkook was getting real pissed at him.
You stayed at Namjoon's apartment because Jungkook knew where you lived and you had no energy to keep rejecting him into the house.
Besides that, Namjoon knows what it's like getting divorced, being alone after a long time and feeling like absolute shit. He didn't love Mickayla anymore when they seperated, but you did still love Jungkook.
Your father didn't stop you from leaving Jungkook. He told you he understood, and that is the only reason that you could leave Jungkook.
Nights of tears have passed, you couldn't keep count on them.
You snap yourself out of your thoughts and walk over to the fridge to grab yourself some ice cream.
Namjoon gives you one of his looks. "That's your fourth ice cream of the day," he says. "Don't you want to eat something else?"
"No."
Namjoon sighs. "I know they say ice cream helps fixing a broken heart, oh god, I don't want to he rude..."
"Spit it out."
"I mean, everybody has seen you gained weight over the past weeks since you're back in Seoul," Namjoon says. "Mom mentioned it, dad mentioned it and now I do."
"Okay, and? Let me be depressed."
"Maybe you should try to stop thinking abour Jungkook without eating," Namjoon says. "I mean, reading a book or taking Moni out for a walk..."
"No, thanks," you sigh and throw the ice cream away. "I'm not hungry anymore."
"Deji, I only want the best for you. Do you realise that?" Namjoon says, looking sorry for making you feel guilty.
"I know. I will be in my room, working on something," you say.
