HOW MY HEART WAS WON

Your eyes slowly open. You notice the unfamiliar room; the paintings, the bedsheets and the closet doesn't belong to you. This was Jungkook's bedroom.

A body is pressed against your back. His strong arms are tightly wrapped around you. Big spoon, little spoon, you know how it works.

You hear him snoring from behind you. You take his hand and kiss the top of it before removing his heavy arm from you. You sit up on the bed and check the time.

You were too busy on your phone that you didn't notice the snoring next to you had stopped. "Deji," Jungkook groans in a tired morning voice. His hand reaches out to feel you next to him.

"I'm right here." You grab his hand and crawl back closer to him. He opens his eyes and smiles at you. "What?" You chuckle. "Why are you smiling?"

"I'm such a lucky man," he says. "Kiss me."

"But I have morning breath," you say. "And so do you."

"I don't care."

You roll your eyes and lean down to kiss him. "That's enough."

"What? Why?" Jungkook whines at you with pouted lips.

"Because I want to take a shower and we should also prepare breakfast," you say. "Remember that we have a quest over?"

Jungkook's eyes widen, his face a little more pale. "I totally forgot he was here. Do you think he could hear us last night?"

"No, he was out in the club," you say. "And what if he did? Who cares?"

"You're right," Jungkook says. "I'm going to make breakfast, okay?"

"Morning, Deji," Elijah says, sitting comfortably on a chair. Jungkook is also in the kitchen, behind the stove like usual.

"Morning, Elijah. How was clubbing last night? Did you meet any fun people?" You wiggle your eyebrows at him.

"Clubbing was fun, but I can't remember everything," he chuckles. "I was so damn wasted last night."

"I bet, typically you," you chuckle and turn to Jungkook. "What are you making for us today, chef?"

He turns to you. "French toast. Usually I cook Korean dishes, but I'd like to keep our guest in mind," he says.

"That's very sweet of you," you say and lean in closer. "Is this because I explained you shouldn't be jealous?" You whisper.
