Adam Black was a tall, well educated guy in his late twenties. He had an extraordinary muscular physique and had an eagle claw ripping tattoo on the left side of his neck, his long veins and the tattoo were a rocking combination when he spoke. He had thick pitch black hair and emerald green eyes which must be included while describing his beauty. The beauty of his eyes would've seen well if he didn't wear those black square rimmed glasses which gave him a polymath look. His artistic features brought him a myriad of female attention but he brushed aside such things.

Adam was a highly qualified introvert. He didn't have any friends or relatives; his parents died in a car crash when he was 14 but he wasn't sad when they died_ he felt nothing. The day when his sister, Lily died was the most tragic day of his life. He loved her more than anything in this world but she told him goodbye at the age of 15, Adam was 18 at that time. Her death had a tremendous impact in his life.

He never talked to anyone, but many people_ mostly girls have tried to strike up a conversation with him but he escaped such sociable scenarios quickly. He lived in his own world of thoughts. A simple man living alone in a big house leading a monotonous life_ that's what everyone said when someone asked them about Adam Black. Remember; a coin has two sides. This was the Adam whom everyone knew, but they hadn't seen the real face of Adam Lucifer Black until the cops arrested him for committing 6 horrendous murders. He was ruthless, savage and diabolical. A demon who had an unwavering obsession with pain, fresh blood and dead bodies. He was a psychopath who was incapable of having emotions or feelings, he had also taken countless lives of animals too.

In the interrogation room:

"Why did you kill them?" Mr. Scott, the interviewer asked him but he stayed motionless like a statue. He asked the same again. This time Adam looked in his face. His intense eye contact gave Mr. Scott chills.

"I killed them because I wanted to see them die." He spoke casually without breaking the eye contact.

"Why... why did you want to see them die?" Mr. Scott interrogated. Adam stretched back in his chair, closed his eyes and rotated his neck slowly. Everyone inside that interrogation room watched him keenly.

"Because they made me mad." He answered.

"How?"

"They all looked like the dead." He said in finality as though he didn't want him to ask more about it.

"Do you regret doing it?" Mr. Scott knew the answer to this question, Adam gave him an impish smile.

"Do I look like I regret it?"

Mr. Scott gulped; he was actually uncomfortable and a bit scared of doing the interview of a serial killer. Adam acknowledged his trepidation and decided not to scare him even more with questions. He said,

"What I've done may be wrong in your eyes but I can't help it. I've these extreme compulsions to see fresh blood and pain which I can't control. At such times I'm forced to do it."

"Do you still have such compulsions?" Mr. Scott asked.

"Yes. It came back a few days back. I bit myself till I saw blood." Adam showed him the deep teeth marks in his left arm. Mr. Scott flinched.

"When did it start?"

"It was inside me as long as I could remember. I think it was inborn."

"Did your parents or anyone know about this?" Mr. Scott asked.

"No, my parents were always busy. They barely spent their time with me and Lily. They went to a lot of business trips, parties and clubs and when they were home, they fought with each other. I spent most of my time with Lily_ she was the only person who understood me. I was afraid to share about my abnormal feelings to anyone, I thought people would think I was a mental freak. But Lily wasn't like that." Adam said with a hearty smile.

"How did she react?"

"She said it was normal to have such feelings because she also had them but she believed it was God's way of talking with her. She told me that God told her to hurt mom and dad whenever they fought. Not only them, her bullies too."

"And did she hurt them?"

"She once tried to put the house on fire but it failed."

"What was the origin for these compulsions?" He asked trying to engross inside his past.

"I don't know. It was there, inside me but it wasn't that powerful at first. It grew up along with me. I was bullied and assaulted by a lot of people in my childhood, I always felt like an inferior in front of them. I wanted to take my supremacy and show them that they were weak, but I couldn't. That frustration, Lily's death, isolation everything made it easy to flourish more. Once I even brought a meat cleaver to my school to attack my bullies but I couldn't do it. Whenever I encountered them, the same feeling of inferiority flooded back_ I couldn't do anything to hurt them. That was when I started to kill animals. I imagined the innocent animals as my bullies and hurt them very badly. I slashed and disemboweled them to drain each and every drop of blood from its body. That was the way I released my anger and vexations."

"Did you do it before or after Lily's death?"

"We used to do it before but rarely. We did it dreading if someone would catch us doing it, so we couldn't enjoy it properly. But when I did it alone, I wasn't scared but was satisfied." He explained it as though it was one of his hobbies.

"When was the first time you killed an animal?"

"I was 12 and Lily was 9 at that time. Our first victim was our cat. It was difficult to do it because he was obstreperous. We took him to our basement, Lily helped me to tie him in one of the legs of the wooden table. He tried to bite and scratch but we escaped most of them. Our basement was soundproof so no one heard him moaning. Lily hit his head hard with a hammer, she told me that God wanted to silence him. It was almost dead from her blow, the sight of his blood from his head made us ecstatic. It brought us into a state of insanity_ a desire to see more of it. Lily untied him and then we disemboweled him together. We buried its body in the woods behind our house before our parents came back. Lily helped me to clean the basement. When our parents came, we told them that the cat went missing. Dad asked the neighbors if they had seen him, but they said no. They searched him for a while and slowly slowly he was forgotten."

"When you did this, didn't you feel like this was wrong?"

"No because I become normal only after I do it. So what I did was right in front my laws." Adam looked at Mr. Henry, the senior inspector when he said those words.
