"My name is Daisy Godwin." She said stretching out her right arm.

"Adam... Adam Black." And we shook hands.

"Actually you look like one of my friend, at first glance I almost thought it was him." She said avoiding eye contact with me, I clearly understood she was lying. She wanted to talk with me; that's why she came up with a very fabricated lie.

"Didn't see you in the last two days, what happened?" She asked. Now I knew my assumption was right_ she did want to talk with me.

"Oh, I was busy."

"Shall we go get a coffee?" She asked, her light blue eyes gleamed_ waiting for me to say yes.

"Aight." I said, her face beamed with excitement.

Daisy asked where I lived, whether I had a girlfriend _ her face lit up when I said 'no'. But suddenly that light faded when I told her I was in college.

"WHAT?" She asked, her eyes bulged out.

"You're in college? I thought you would be... old, sorry." She said with a faint smile, trying to hide her embarrassment and disappointment.

"Its okay." I gave her a casual smile.

"Well, what do you do?" I asked, trying to pull her out from her awkwardness.

"I work as the receptionist of the Plaza hotel." She said.

On our resumed conversation, she told me she was a divorcee and began describing that toxic relationship. Soon she started to cry, I tried to console her.

"I'm sorry. I just..." She started sobbing more. Some people started noticing us curiously, I was getting uncomfortable; I wanted to disappear from that place.

"Stop blubbering hag. I don't feel sorry for you." I said in my mind

"Excuse me." She then ran to the restroom and came back after a while with a half smile.

"Adam, I'm extremely sorry."

"You don't have to apologize Daisy, its okay. Please don't cry. I want to see your happy beautiful face." Daisy felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach when Adam said those words. She started blushing and tucked her loose hair behind her ear. At that instant, her face changed to Lavender's. Adam couldn't believe his eyes_ he was flabbergasted. He felt his heart pumping loud, as though it might come out in any moment. He couldn't breathe properly. He tried to relax and told himself it wasn't true and looked at her again; it was Lavender, smiling seductively at him.

"What the fuck did I just see?" he muttered.

"What Adam? I didn't hear you." Daisy said.

"Ehm...nothing. Its time for me to go. Bye Daisy." He quickly walked away without even looking at her.

"Adam, wait..." Daisy called him but he pretended he didn't hear it and strolled away as fast as he could.
