This chapter is about the childhood of Adam and Lily. 

I went for a night drive after getting bored with my studies. My head ached so badly, that pain was coming frequently and sometimes even unbearable. I knew something was wrong with my body and that I should seek medical help, but something stopped me to do so. I didn't want to be cured if I had some serious health issue; Lily didn't get it then why should I? As I drove, my tragic memories began to come up. Time will leave, but the memories won't. It will be tattooed in your brain and you will have to live with it forever even if you don't want to.

Adam and Lily were playing in the garden, he was 8 and Lily was 5 at that time. Adam played with his favorite dinosaur toy and Lily played with Bobby, her favorite brown colored teddy bear. Their dad went to his office for work, their mom stayed behind to look after them.

"Adam, tell your dinosaur not to scare Bobby. Poor Bobby was crying when I took him." Lily said in her cute voice.

"My dino didn't do anything; your Bobby scolded him that's why he scared him," Adam said.

Lily looked at Bobby and asked,

"Did you scold him, Bobby?" She then moved its head sideways with her fingers and told him,

"Bobby didn't do anything. He says he will give dinosaur to Bloody Mary if he scares him one more time."

Suddenly they heard the sound of a car. Both of them leaned to see if it was their Dad but it wasn't him. A tall, handsome man with pitch-black hair opened the gate and walked towards their mansion with some flowers in his hands. Both of them ran inside through the back door to tell their mom about the unexpected visitor. She was doing the laundry when they waddled inside.

"What happened Adam?" She asked with a frown.

"Someone is coming." He replied.

"Someone? Who?" She asked.

"A man."

She walked towards the hall and glanced through the peephole, she became agitated when she saw who it was. She turned towards her children and said,

"Adam, Lily, go upstairs. Don't come down till I call you." They ran upstairs and peeked from the top to see who that man was.

The man smiled broadly when he saw their mother and gave her that bouquet of white lilies.

"Jewel, you look so pretty." He said as he stepped inside. She smiled faintly and said,

"Lucifer, you should go now. My husband would be back soon."

His smile vanished and his expression turned stern. His green eyes gleamed with anger but he tried to suppress it and said,

"I came to see my son Jewel, where is he?"

"For god's sake Lucifer. Please stop this." Jewel pleaded. She sounded as though she might cry.

"He is not your son." She said.

"STOP LYING JEWEL." He yelled. Adam and Lily were shocked.

"I'm not lying Lucifer. Please...please don't spoil my life." She started crying.

"I won't, I want my son."

"He is not your son, I lied to you."

"Don't test my patience Jewel, where's the boy?" He pulled her hair fiercely and his emerald green eyes gleamed with malice. The kids were shocked and scared when they saw him hurting their mother. Both of them darted downstairs.

"Adam, Lily don't come down!" She squealed.

Lucifer's eyes ran to that small boy with enchanting green eyes and pitch-black hair. His eyebrows rose in surprise. He walked towards him with a creepy smirk.

Adam didn't know what to do, something inside him kept on telling him to run away from him but his legs didn't move, it was fixed to the floor.

That man kneeled in front of him with a soft smile on his face and studied him for a while. Adam's heartbeat rose when he touched his face.

"You're handsome." He said stroking Adam's hair tenderly but he didn't feel it safe.

"I'm your father Adam. I'm going to take you to our home." Adam looked at Lucifer's eyes, something was hiding in them which he couldn't discern_ desire.

He caught his arm and pulled him out of the house, he tried to free himself from his grip but his efforts were bootless in front of a full-grown man. He started crying because of fear. Jewel and Lily ran behind him and tried to stop him but Lucifer hit her and pushed away Lily. Adam's temper flared when Lily fell. He bit his hand strongly; Lucifer freed him because of the pain. Adam ran towards Lily and helped her to sit straight. Jewel ran towards them.

"Adam RUN!" Lily yelled. But before he could get up, Lucifer grabbed him and sprinted towards his car. Adam saw his mother and his dear sister wailing loudly, he wondered if he could see them ever again because that foreboding voice told him that he was going into the mouth of danger.

TWO DAYS AFTER THIS INCIDENT:

In Lucifer's room*

Adam was lying in the bed_ naked; blood dripping from his nose, there was a slap mark on his cheek, and his hands were tied to the headboard. He wept loudly.

"SHUT UP BOY." Lucifer hit him with his belt and started to get dressed. Adam forcefully tried to shut his mouth but the pain was severe. 

"I want to see Lily and my mom." He yelped.

"You want to see that slut? Believe me boy; she doesn't give a shit about you. She is an evil bitch." Lucifer snarled.

"No, she isn't." Adam sobbed. Lucifer laughed hysterically.

"Who? Your mother? Boy, why can't you understand? Your mother is a slut; she'll spread her legs for anyone just for money. She is cheating your dad. I think your sister would become like her when she grows up."

Adam felt his blood boiling at that nasty remark about his sister. He wanted to cut out his dirty tongue. Lucifer took out a filter cigar and lighted it.

"Don't say a word about Lily."

"WOAH... What will you do then?" He asked blowing out smoke and slowly walking towards him.

"I'll kill you." Adam wanted to hurt him very badly. Lucifer chuckled and said,

"You should kill your mother then, otherwise she'll make your sister like her."
