Chapter 3 (Ex-2)

Adam started sketching Emily for the next two weeks. He knew her daily routine by heart. One day he followed her to the mall and decided to turn up in front of her.

"Hey Emily." Adam beamed. She smiled back in acknowledgement. Janet was sleeping on her shoulder.

"Hi Adam. How are you?"

'Great. You?"

'Fine."

They continued a casual conversation. It was mostly Emily talking about her baby's mischief. Her face lit up every time she spoke about her baby. Adam accompanied her while she did the shopping; he didn't buy anything although he became fetish for knives and cleavers.

"Aren't you buying anything?" She asked.

"No, I came here just to chill." He gleamed seductively.

He carried Janet when Emily went to try on some clothes. Adam suppressed the urge to escape with the baby; he knew it would only welcome troubles. Janet didn't make any noise while he took her. She simply studied him with her ocean blue eyes with a deadpan expression which made him uncomfortable certain times. He wondered what she was thinking. Sometimes he felt like she knew who he really was; perhaps babies have the power to discern the hands of a killer.

 That was the second time Emily met him.

6 months later

Emily Arthur's POV*

I lost count meeting Adam; he became someone important to me in a very short period. I must admit I've felt a strong libido for him the very first day itself but my tragic past relationship reminded me to stay away from him. His charm, his extreme masculine features, killing smile, voice and most importantly his sexy neck roll and everything related to him had the power to take my breath away. This man is one of the best creations of God_ he is perfect from every angle. I tried to end our conversation quickly when we first met because of the strong sexual attraction I felt for him but now I know he is really important to me. Day by day my love for him is only increasing but still now I've not reached in a place where I could tell the world that he is mine, mine only...

Emily tossed in her bed, thinking about Adam. Each cell in her body was chanting his name. She thought about last day's incident when she met her friend Nick in the café. She noticed Adam's expression turning into rage when Nick placed a soft kiss on her cheeks. Emily perceived he was possessive but he tried to act cool because he didn't have any rights on her. She looked at her daughter who was sleeping peacefully in the baby cot. Adam loves Janet more than her; she has felt it from many instances. Her daughter liked him too; she never cried while he carried her besides she looked him with utter curiosity perhaps she was admiring his looks. Emily smiled at that thought. Suddenly she received a notification; she leaned and took her mobile. 

It was a message from Adam. A cute smile bloomed on her face when she saw his name. 

"Hey" He sent.

"Hi" Emily texted back.

"U didn't sleep?" He asked.

"No."

"Is Janet giving u trouble?"

"No, she is sleeping."

"Then what happened?"

"I'm not feeling sleepy..."

"Hang on, why aren't you off to bed?" She asked.

"I had to study." Actually he was disemboweling the heart of  a dog, that was what he meant by study.

"Oh."

"R u free tmrw?" He texted.

"Yep."

"Good, shall we go to a place tmrw then?" He asked.

"Where?"

"That's a surprise, but trust me you'll love it."

'Alright, I'll come"

"Great. Bring Janet too."

"Sure."

"Gn^_^"

"Good night" 

Emily shut her phone and rolled on her bed with a cute little smile on her face and began wondering where he was going to take her. She then slept peacefully dreaming about Adam Lucifer Black.

Adam shut his phone and took the black leather bound diary of 2021 and wrote in a new page,
