A month later

Minerva pov.

I was finally ready. It was time..
I knocked once and then the door opened.

"Minerva?" My mother could not believe I was standing in front of her..

"You kept your promise .. you visited us "
She said tearing up. I could not help but cry as well.

"I want to spend the afternoon with you"

My mother welcomed me in and sat with me on her kitchen. She cooked my favorite dish and talked to me about everything.

It was as if time never passed, as if we never had lost each other

My sister came and joined us I hugged them both tight and made sure they knew how much I loved them but now I had a daughter and I had to do everything on me to make her happy and keep her safe.

Then it was time to say goodbye, I got up and hugged them both again

"I love you" I said

"We love you too"

"I have to go"

"Can you just stay the night with us?"
It was as if my mother knew I was never coming back.

I accepted it and in the morning I left there was someone else I had to see.

I drove to where Cheryl was staying with Toni and ruby, I waited for a couple of minutes outside thinking in what i was suppose to say. The date we had went well but she did it all just for ruby. I know that now cheryl is happy with toni. My plan was working just as i planned. The only mistake was thay i didn't realize toni was going to tell cheryl about the witches wanting to kidnap ruby.

"Waiting for something?" A voice surprised me

"Cheryl you scared me" I said with my hand on my heart.

"I saw you from the window, i recognized your car"

"..." for a moment it hit me that it used to be our car. I quickly let that thought went away and focused on the present.

"Did you ever planned knocking?"

"Of course i just needed some time"

"To think on more lies"

"No... No... To.."

"I was just joking"

"Are you coming in?" Cheryl asked. I took a deep breathe and nodded
"No... No.. I just... Should stay outside"

"Ruby is waiting to see you"

"Really?"

"Come in"
Cheryl walked inside in front of me
I was walking behind her and all eyes of their friends turned to me they were celebrating ruby's birthday
It was making me feel uncomfortable they probably hated me for what they know about me

I saw toni Holding ruby singing with her. Ruby looked really happy. It was a beautiful scene. It didn't hurt as much as i imagined. Not watching ruby grow up, not being there for any of her birthdays and not being there when she first comes back home after her first day of school was painful but knowing that toni will take my place makes it easier.

I walked to them and ruby recognized me. She grabbed my face with her small hands and my tears started to fall. "I love you" i whispered.
I was aware all the eyes in the room were in us but i didn't care.
"I will always look after you,remember to not give your mothers so much trouble"

"Happy birthday my angel, i will always be there with you"

"I am so happy i met you, and i got you to call you my daughter"
