(Viridian Forest, Viridian City, Kanto Region, Pokémon World)

--------------------------------

Viridian Forest was beautiful, it's dense forests, rivers, and native bush reminded him of Orongorongo, the Bush he went into in his childhood and made a hundred trips into before he reached twenty one.

But of course such nostalgia brought forth a deep wave of personal sadness and regrets. And yet he still managed to bury such feelings quite easily. Was it terrifying that he could so easily smother such feelings? To your average person yes, but even before reincarnation, he was used to doing that. So while the nostalgia was a little stronger, it otherwise wasn't that big of a deal to him.

''Acerola, let's review.'' Cobalt says.

''Pokémon?'' Acerola askd.

''Pokemon.'' Cobalt confirms.

''Alright, right now you have Rockruff, Bulbasaur, Eevee, An Alolan Meowth, Weedle, and Pidgey, you need at least one more to start making a new team, and four more to both make that team a league qualifying team and begin making a new team. Your candadites are?" Acerola asks.

''Pikachu, Scyther, Caterpie, Magikarp, and Rhyhorn. I don't expect to encounter a Magikarp and Ryhorn here in Viridian Forest, so I'm looking for Pikachu, Scyther, and/or Caterpie. I am not looking for your average run of the mill bunch either, I'm looking for Pokemon that standout, if they're not Shiny, then look to their stats, is there one or more that exceeds their standard measurements? Does the stats show an abnormal dip? That sort of thing.'' Says Cobalt, watching as Acerola notes down his criteria.

''And your penchant for taking in strays?'' Acerola asks.

''That goes without saying.'' Cobalt replies.

''I guess it does, Rockruff, Meowth, and Eevee were all stray Pokemon at some point.'' Says Acerola.

''At any rate, I want to get a day of training in first. Do you think Dusclops could help us with Gravity? If nothing else it would help the groups basic endurance training before Pewter City.'' Cobalt asks Acerola.

''Why stop there?  When we can join in as well? Come on out everyone!'' Acerola says, letting Greedy Rapooh, Meowth, Poplio, Dusclops, Shuppet, and Mudsdale out of their Pokèballs.

''You planning to compete in the League too?'' Asks Cobalt.

''Of course I am, well I will for at least for Kanto, after that we'll have to wait and see.'' Says Acerola.

''What are the odds we end up facing each other?'' Asks Cobalt.

''If our Tournament's are any indication, it's more than likely.'' Acerola replies.

''Well shit. Alright then, might as well not waste anymore time. Let's Kick it into high gear, come on out everyone.'' Says Cobalt.

''Hi, I'm Cobalt's girlfriend. My names Acerola.'' Says Acerola, introducing herself to Bulbasaur, Pidgey, and Weedle.

''Alright you lot, let's talk training. Weedle, you will be focusing on Defence and Speed. Bulbasaur, you will be focusing on endurance and Speed. Meowth and Pidgey, you both will focus on Attack and and Defence. Shadow, you and Rockruff will be training together. Your similar physiologies and overall potential moves make you ideal training partners, and your stats see close enough to each other for your training to be simple matter of general improvement. Since Dusclops will be using gravity, you will feel extra heavy, this will greatly enhance your gains while your training also practice your stamina and moves. But first stretch, it will hurt less.'' Says Cobalt, helping each of his Pokèmon stretch properly.
