No matter how hard any of the BAU team tried, turning off their profiling brains were difficult, if not impossible. Which is why, when JJ slowly walked into the conference room, her legs feeling sore, she happened to notice Spencer gazing out the middle window and started trying to figure out why he was so enamoured with whatever or whoever was outside.
She noticed the small things. A slight smile on his face, his eyes moving as if his gaze was following someone. He wasn't standing up straight, rather relaxing his shoulders to make him look taller - which wasn't possible considering he was already so tall. Every few minutes, he'd remove a piece of hair from in front of his eyes, obviously not wanting his view to be obstructed.
Instead of speaking, JJ pulled out her chair and sat down, continuing to glance at Spencer every few minutes or so.
Soon enough, everyone else had arrived to the conference room, but Spencer was still so fixated on something or someone outside.
"Earth to Reid." Derek tapped Spencer's shoulder, watching with confusion as Spencer jumped a little, caught off guard by Derek's sudden movement.
"You ready for another case, boy wonder?" Penelope smiled at her genius friend, who blinked a few times, trying to remember where he was.

Once the team had been informed of their new case, they all got up to leave, JJ and Derek watching as Spencer handed some paperwork to Anderson, who seemed to know who the paperwork was going to. They walked with their bags to the FBI Academy entrance, watching as trainees ran around the field outside.
JJ watched with curiousness as Anderson walked up to a woman who looked no older than 23, handing the paperwork to her. She nodded and walked off, happening to pass JJ on her way back to the Training Building. What JJ instantly noticed was the front page of the work she had been given.
Behavioural Analysis: Session 5.
By Dr. Spencer Reid.JJ's eyes widened as she caught up to Derek, who was confused as to where she had been just now.
"Everything okay, JJ? You seem...more on edge than usual." Derek asked.
"Spencer handed Anderson some paperwork. Minutes later, as I was walking with you and the team, I watched as Anderson handed that same paperwork to one of the cadets." JJ explained.
"Okay...so what?" Derek asked, not sure where JJ was going with her rant.
"You remember when Spencer had his first lecture, and Emily claimed that he had met somebody?" JJ raised her eyebrows, clearly expecting Derek to catch on.
"Well, I think that whoever that woman was, - the one that Anderson handed the paperwork to - she's the woman that Spencer met." JJ concluded.
"Sure. Whatever. You got any way to prove your theory?" Derek chuckled as he and JJ sat on the jet, Spencer sitting on the other side, close to the kitchenette.
"I don't. But I'm pretty sure your baby girl might." JJ smiled, pulling out her phone.
One moment, she was typing a message and pressing send. The next moment, she was patiently waiting for a reply.

As the team landed at their desired location, JJ and Derek waited until they were last off the plane before calling Penelope.
"Hey, baby girl. What have you got for us?" Derek asked as he and JJ answered Penelope's phone call.
"Okay. To answer the question that JJ asked me, there were 150 students who were attending Spencer's lectures." Penelope began.
"Only focus on those students who aren't auditing." JJ asked.
"Damn, JJ. You got the list down to 75 students!" Penelope cheered.
"Are there any students who are also in the FBI Academy Training Program?" Derek asked.
"Ooh, my love, you're on fire! There is only one student of our boy wonder who is also part of the program. Her name is Y/N Y/L/N." Penelope explained.
"Anymore info on her?" JJ asked.
"Okay...Y/N Y/L/N is a 23-year-old student in her final year of college at the Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge Campus. She has 2 PhD's. One in psychology and one in sociology. She is currently working on getting a BA in philosophy. She shares an apartment with her best friend Alyssa Barton." Penelope explained.
"Anything on her family?" Derek asked.
"If there is anything on her family, it's somehow hidden from me." Penelope groaned.
"I will hit you back with more info when I have it. PG out!" She exhaled before ending the call.
"We better go before Hotch starts to worry, or worse, gets angry." Derek chuckled.
