1. Be Kind and Courteous
We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
2. No Hate Speech or Bullying
Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
3. No Promotions, Solicitations, or Spam
Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed. Online selling and unrelated solicitation request posts will automatically be declined. Links suggesting other groups and directly or indirectly and intentionally or unintentionally bad-mouthing the group will be taken down.
4. We are politically non-partisan
The group doesn't support any political party nor endorse any politician. We maintain neutrality and tackle issues based on merit. Moderators have the right to remove a post in violation of this rule. There are right Facebook groups for these kinds of posts. Please proceed there instead.
5. Three Strike Rule in effect
All members are given 3 strikes with corresponding punishments depending on how many times the offender engaged in abusive behavior such as ad hominem, personal attacks, trolling, and name calling.
1st Offense: Deletion of erring post/comment and 3 day suspension.
2nd Offense: Deletion of erring post/comment and 1 week suspension.
3rd Offense: Deletion of erring post/comment and expulsion. The rule does not apply to members that would be proven to be troll accounts and "safe space" violators.
6. No Trolls or Trolling
To maintain the quality of the group, identified and confirmed trolls and trolling would be logged, deleted, and automatically kicked by the administrators and moderators to the group without any questions or explanations. Three strike rule is automatically revoked for this offense and maximum penalty which is expulsion from the group will be put into place for the erring member.
7. Complete all membership questions properly
As a measure to prevent fake accounts and trolls from being accepted, anyone who is requesting to become a member of this group MUST answer all the membership questions properly. Unanswered, incomplete, or improperly filled up forms would AUTOMATICALLY BE DECLINED FOR MEMBERSHIP.
8. No asking of easily web searchable directions
While the group primarily serves the commuter, we limit the "asking for directions" question to those that cannot be found with a quick search over the internet or any commuter assistance app. Direction questions that can easily be found on the internet will automatically be declined.
9. We implement a random member-integrity check
As part of our efforts to eliminate trolls and fake accounts, the team employs methods to ensure the integrity of members. Administrators and moderators may utilize methods such as randomly adding some members and computer verification tools to conduct this check.
10. This is a "Safe Space"
As the group is meant to be a "Safe Space", any action that can be classified as any form of harassment whether physical, sexual, or verbal by another member of the group will automatically merit an expulsion from this group. We do not tolerate such actions and behavior so we expect all members to observe proper decorum at all times.
