Commute Stories

Maybe that's how love begins sometimes. Not with grand gestures, but with a familiar face across a crowded train commute. A story of two strangers, a handful of secretly collected habits, and one extra train stop-just because they aren't ready to say goodbye yet.

Some people enter our lives with an introduction. Some become familiar without one. It started with an ordinary encounter - nothing special, nothing worth remembering. Or at least, that's what she thought. Then came another meeting. And another. A familiar face in a crowd. A few unexpected moments. A little curiosity she didn't want to admit. She didn't know his story. She didn't know what he thought about her. She didn't even know his name. Yet somehow, a complete stranger was slowly becoming the most familiar part of her everyday life. THE NAME I NEVER KNEW A Tanglish story about unexpected encounters, unspoken curiosity, embarrassing moments, and the strange feeling of searching for someone you don't even know.

An hour in the morning. An hour at night. I take the train to and from work six days a week. Sometimes I read or watch videos on my phone to pass the time. Other times, when my mind grows quiet, words start stringing out of me like rabbits in a magicians hat. These are my rabbits. I hope you enjoy them. :)

A short story about a woman who works as a secretary at a pediatric care office and her commute home

Every day when he wakes up he sees himself in the same train. He wants to get off, but like most of us, he doesn't know when. Today he's come across a fellow traveler who's having a breakdown. When he calls her out for a coffee hesitatingly it occurs to him that this could finally be his stop. Not her, no, but this moment when he's seeing her.

A short story I wrote as part of a transfer application into the Tisch School of the Arts. It's something I wrote a while ago and now that it's time for submission, I'm not sure how good it is anymore. It's "no more than six pages of creative writing consisting of a complete short story". That's the prompt. Plenty to go on, right? UPDATE: I was accepted! Thank you to everyone who read and critiqued it!

This is a script fill for anyone to create content with, this was not initially intented to be a written induction however it still can really push you right to the edge of really dropping for me, maybe you will, we'll have to wait and see.
