Kirishima was woken up by something heavy hitting him in the face.
Kirishima pushed the object away. He half opened his eyes to see his boyfriend standing in the door frame. He was too tired to wonder what Bakugou was doing in his room before the crack of dawn. He just closed his eyes, rolled over, and murmured something about wanting to sleep. It wasn't often he got to sleep in and he wasn't going to ruin it just because Bakugou had an obsession with keeping his rigid schedule.
"Come on fuckface we're leaving."
"We're leaving?" Kirishima repeated blankly. He checked his phone for the time. "Bakugou it's four in the morning. We can go to the gym later, just let me sleep a little longer."
"We're not going to the gym dumbass. Now get up and get changed. We're going to miss our train."
"Our train?" Kirishima said. "Bakugou what's going on?"
Bakugou sighed like it should've been obvious. "We're going hiking, Kirishima. Now hurry up or we'll miss it."
That got Kirishima's attention. Ever since their first year at UA it had been a tradition of theirs to go hiking for a week over winter break. Bakugou never let other people hike with him, which was one of the things that made it so special. But that couldn't be what Bakugou was talking about. Winter break was still a couple weeks away, at least he thought it was.
Bakugou must've been able to see the confusion written across his face. "Just for the weekend, Shitty Hair. I already packed everything you need in that backpack and got the whole thing approved by Aizawa. All you have to do is get the fuck out of bed and get dressed."
Kirishima knew better than to argue. He rolled out of bed and started pulling clothes on. Bakugou had the decency to turn around although Kirishima was sure he caught his eyes darting backwards once or twice. The thought made him smile. "Do I have time to spike my hair or should I just leave it down and throw a hat on in?"
"Down," Bakugou said. "We're running late and it looks hotter down anyways."
Kirishima smirked. "I guess I'll have to wear it down more often."
Bakugou's cheeks heated slightly. "Come on Fucker it's time to go."
Kirishima didn't realize how tired he was until they got on the bus. After they sat down Bakugou offered him an earbud, which Kirishima took gladly. They had left in such a rush he had forgotten to grab his headphones, but he hated traveling in silence. He leaned his head against Bakugou's shoulder and fell asleep listening to the old American rock music he liked.
Kirishima woke up, who knows how long later, to one of Bakugou's loud emo songs turned down so it wouldn't interrupt Kirishima's sleep. Bakugou must've changed the music to what he liked to listen to, which means the music earlier was all for Kirishima. It made him smile. Bakugou wasn't always great at showing his affection, but it was little things like this that let Kirishima know how much he really cared.
"Come on," Bakugou snapped. Kirishima didn't put up any arguments as Bakugou grabbed his hand and pulled him off of the train to the base of a mountain. "We're here."
"You going to tell me where here is exactly?"
Bakugou's face twitched like it did whenever he was on the verge of saying something outside his comfort zone. "The first mountain my parents let me climb by myself," he said without looking at Kirishima. "It's more of a hill than anything but it's close to UA and a good day hike."
That may be true, but there were hundreds of hills to hike near UA. Bakugou had chosen this one specifically because it was important to him. Because he wanted to bring Kirishima into one of the first places he had all to himself. That thought made Kirishima smile.
