When she reached the middle of the bottom path, there was a Charmeleon on a purple circle built into the floor, charging up to score as a ball of energy formed in front of it. Absol quickly dashed towards the red, lizard-like Pokemon, stopping it from scoring. It turned around to her, fire blasting out of its mouth and leaving her with a burn. She slashed at its cheek. They both continuously gave each other the 'standard attacks' until the Charmeleon's health was low and it started running away. Absol continued to charge after it, though, and it was soon stopped by a Dragonair, who finished it off with a warm, purple gust of wind exhaled from its mouth.

This is my chance!

Absol quickly ran to a yellow hoop opposite of the purple, but was stopped by a low-HP Duraludon who charged by her, eating a berry on the other side of the hoop then standing at it, ready to defend.

Dragonair used Dragon Breath on it, which was quickly deflected with Dragon Pulse. The two Pokemon continued to battle, and while Duraludon was distracted, Absol snuck towards the hoop and scored 14 points.

The crowd cheered.

She could see her younger brother, an Umbreon, in the stands, eating popcorn as he cheered for her. Her dad, an Absol, sat in the seat next to him, calming him down as he threw some popcorn in the air with excitement.

A proud grin grew across her face, but she was soon knocked out as the Duraludon slashed at her with metal claws. She respawned at the starting point, wide-eyed with surprise from the sudden attack. She shook off the surprise, about to launch off to continue leveling up, but got distracted when a Corviknight flew up in the air, pushing Emi off the small platform she was resting on and taking the spot for himself.

As the platform hovered above the field, dark clouds grew around the arena and he lifted his left wing, as if he had something important to say. "Queen Umber has fallen under my talons!" He announced, his claws gripping onto the platform. "The Royal Family is no longer welcome in my castle. Oh, and I suppose they're here, at the games? What a sad place to find out."

The world around Absol disappeared. She could only see herself and the proud, smirking Corviknight. Mom's dead? She looked up at the dark bird, eyes narrowed. This meant that he would take over. And that meant Absol, the princess of the dark kingdom, would have to leave the dark castle.

The Rise of the Outcasts is a story about a Cinderace, Lucario, and Absol traveling the four kingdoms, Ice, Fire, Forest, and Dark, trying to stop the war between them. Ever since Queen Umber the Great, an Umbreon who used to rule the Dark Kingdom, fell and was replaced by Corviknight and Mandibuzz, and ever since Ninetales took her mother's place as Queen, it had been nothing but war and violence between the four kingdoms.

Every Dark Kingdom citizen was miserable- Treated like trash by the new royal family and their guards and servants, forced to hunt for their king and queen, and sometimes even starving to death because of such little food was left.

Every Ice Kingdom citizen, whether they were a guard or a normal Pokemon of the kingdom, was controlled by Ninetales, forced to attack the other three kingdoms each day. Even her own daughter, Vulpix, the Ice Kingdom princess, felt manipulated by her, but she still followed her mother's orders.

The Forest Kingdom was strong, though, and they had managed to keep peace despite the hard times.

The Fire Kingdom was strong, too, but hungry. There was little food in the hot and dry habitat they lived in. Only the most popular, or richest, or both were fed well.

The excerpt from the prologue above introduces the beginning of Corviknight's rule, and explains why Absol is an outcast to her kingdom.

Also there will be some gayness in this so if you're homophobic or just don't like that stuff please leave, don't hate.

I'll only be working on this after school on week days. If I have a day off of school, I'll most likely spend it writing other books. This isn't guaranteed to be finished, but I do have some future ideas for it. I won't be posting a chapter immediately after I'm done with it. I'd rather get a few done then post those, so the story can flow better.

Update: Okay I didn't think I was gonna finish this story but now it's become my number one priority on Wattpad lol so it'll probably be finished.
