"Hi, how may I help you?"

A taller woman spoke from behind causing Y/N to flinch. She quickly turned to the woman, noting it was a worker.

"Um, hi, yeah, so...how much..for this...turtle..?" She stammered, pointing to the aquarium where a tiny turtle was staring out the glass.

The girl had saved up for a pet for months and it was finally time she bought one. This turtle, in particular, caught her eye and she just couldn't resist it. Thus, how she had spent the past 23 minutes talking to the turtle, like, it was a child.

"Oh, I see, you want a turtle!" The worker clapped her hands. "Well, that'll be-----"

...

"Okay, I got it," Y/N muttered on her phone, holding a small box close to her and a bag of supplies in her other hand.

To any normal person, she'd look like a creep, suspiciously walking off after stealing something.

"Yes! Facetime me once you get home!"

Y/N smiled as she heard the boy cheering from the other side. With that, she hung up the phone. Keeping it in her back pocket, she picked up her pace, eager to get home.

She was close to the docks, and it was getting dark, making her feel rather...unsafe.

As she kept walking, a bright light caught her eyes. Y/N glanced beside her, noticing several people...and, they had guns.

Without a doubt, she could tell it was the foot clan. She gulped, eyes darting around. She was about to get a closer look when she remembered seven things.

-Real life was not like the fictional one.

-She had a child in her hands.

-She had to watch Gator grow up, get married, and have kids.

-B/N and her mother were still yet to meet her child.

-Ethan and Caroline were probably gonna kill her if she dies.

-She hadn't yet, done anything heroic, which she was aware, was a dumb thought.

Moreover, she was not done reading the several Marvel fanfictions on Wattpad.

The last thought made her take a step back as she clutched onto the box.

"I don't know, dude--- am I really stupid enough to do something like this- should I really go?" She mumbled, as though talking to the turtle.

The nervous teen was yet to notice the eyes on her. She looked at the box in her hand, noticing her baby look up at her with curiosity. His mouth was turned upwards. It almost looked as though he was smiling up at her. If she hadn't looked close enough, she'd missed the nod it had just given her.

"Master Oogwa---wait, no he was a tortoise," Y/N shook her head, dismissing the thought. "Wait...crush??" she stared down at the turtle, who seemed to smile wider at that, which caused Y/N's eyes to widen.

"Oh. My. Gawd-- I just bought baby crush--" she started freaking out, forgetting all about the foot clan when suddenly a voice startled her.

"His name's baby crush??"

Y/N snapped her head in the direction of the voice. It was dark which only made it harder for her to see but, she could still make out a tall figure...that did not look human.

"Uh, well, I haven't decided that yet, but I was considering that name," she explained, trying to sound brave and...older---for some reason.

'Well, there goes stranger danger.'
