The silence over the room was somewhat deafening. It made several of the bears question whether or not their hearing had suddenly been shot. Azulin had let go of his brother, whatever emotions he had were dripping from him like a waterfall. It was overwhelming. All of the other bears in the same room suddenly started to feel a bit awkward. Not because of the moment, but because of just how hectic and unlikable the blue bear was not even 10 minutes ago.

Achuchones walked into the next room, washing his hands in the mall sink provided by the camp. Coco sighed, and lit a cigarette before stepping outside. Pandi went to his bed, and sat down- finding interest in LITERALLY anything else. The polar bear twins both head outside after Coco did. Naturally- they were more drawn to the blonde bear- they were some of the youngest bears at camp, and Coco was fixing to be a father soon.

The Grizzly Bear Supervisor stood at the door, his eyes narrow- and generally uncaring. He made sure they didn't move too far- couldn't afford to have all of them wandering around at night where they would be getting into trouble.

Or discovering things they shouldn't be discovering. Especially considering just what the superior generals had done not even a few short days ago.

Azulin continued to hug Gordi, despite all the movement around the room, now. He didn't say anything, except for a stifled, croaky apology.

Of course, his sibling had taken the hug, patting him on the back after a minute or two of shock.

Gordi seemed to be at a loss for words. No matter how their life went- his brother was always so angry and deceiving. He was half-expecting his brother to turn around and start making fun of him again- despite how he internally nagged on himself to not think such things about his brother. (No matter how true they were...)

Gordi's ears folded back as he took the hug. It was something his brother had not given to him in such a long time. Something that almost felt good. Like a child being given back a stuffed toy they lost after two weeks of knowing it was in a cabinet somewhere and they were unable to reach it. Gordi never knew what he did wrong to make his brother hate him so much before- but a hug from the sibling was just so nice.

That was where his mind started to wander though. What the hell happened and why was Azulin so touchy and emotional at the moment? Azulin was always emotional- but most of the time it was projected in bouts of anger and the want or need for the blue bear to inflict physical or emotional pain on someone or something.

Maybe Gordi would never understand why Azulin was the way he was.

Despite their home-life not being the best- it was far from the worst. Both of their parents loved them- even Mama didn't love Papa anymore. They had a generous home and a good childhood- given nothing but love, freedom and an opportunity to be anything they wanted.

Azulin eventually did let go of the bigger sibling, bringing his trembling arms up to his face as he looked through his burning tears just to see his concerned siblings face once more. Gordi stood there with his hands clasped together and arms close to his chest- something that he almost always did when he was nervous or at a loss for words. Even if Azulin was a putrid brother before- the only thing he ever did remember- was his brothers habits.

It took the blue bear back to... his past life?

He appeared to have been disturbed enough to make the pink bear concerned again.

"Azulin...?"

"I... I'm fine now- Gordi. I'm fine." He brought his arm up and wiped at his face. Almost seeming to hesitate the second he went to touch the right side of it. He almost expected to feel the typical burning sensation he always did anymore. The raw, damaged flesh burning and feeling like static whenever a new intrusion met the reddened skin.

But it wasn't there anymore.

Azulin walked over to the Mirror and took a look at himself. In the mirror, he stood- both sides of his face present- looking at himself with both eyes- though, it felt so different.

"How did I even get here..." He couldn't help but ponder. His light blue eyes peered around the now slightly vacated room. "Is this even... really happening?" He looked back at Gordi- the pink bear seeming to take it as his cue to finally move so his brother could have some space. Azulin sighed- looking at himself one more time- before shaking his head.

He would maybe never know why he got here... but... he can't just sit there and have a debate with himself as to why it happened. This was a chance to make things right. This was his opportunity to change things for the better- like he wished to do before he faded into darkness. Whatever being had heard his plea took it. It could have fallen on deaf ears, but it didn't.

It was a sign.

He needed to change things, before it was too late.

For now though....

He looked over at his brother, who finished changing out the sheets on his bed. The sheets were covered with ink, which was still likely Gordi's fault. However, it was far from pissing the bed, like Azulin had spitefully accused him of. Azulin even had a guess as to why his brother's bed sheets were stained.

Their mother had an ink well. This ink well was fancy- high quality design, fine molded glass carrier with a glimmering foux gemstone on a base for a lid. It was immaculate and fascinating. Even took your breath away, if you were into fancy objects like that.

Gordi most likely spilled the ink- because he always fumbled around with the thing. He tended to do so when he was upset, nervous or otherwise uncomfortable. Especially in the shared bedroom the group of soldiers were forced to inhabit together.

"Gordi-"

The pink bear jumped from shock, before sinking into himself and looking back at Azulin- his eyes watering. It seemed to be a bit of a habit induced response to hearing his name from his sibling. He was shaky, and still expected something to happen.

Azulin only felt his insides tear more. Taking a closer look- he could see that Gordi felt bad for jumping- but looked away somewhat in shame.

How the pink bear could care for him so much, despite being emotionally tormented for so long only made Azulin feel worse. Because he exploited his brother every chance he got. He was cruel and ruthless and the first thing Gordi ever offered him was being a good sibling- no matter what he had done.

The blue bear sighed, his guilt eating him up.

"Let's go get the sheet cleaned up before the general sees it. I'll grab the cleaning solution out of the bathroom..."
