"Dammit Azulin! You can't stop making everything about what you want, now can you?" Achuchone grabbed one of the slugs and held it up in front of Azulin's face- before glaring. "This is why no one LIKES you! You are such a selfish pain-in-the ass most of the time! Now that you aren't acting like one 24/7 you've basically done nothing but give everyone anxiety about when your next freak out is going to be!"

Achuchones held the slug over himself, lowering it toward his mouth. The small creature wiggling and trying to escape as the scent started to pool off of it more. Despite starting it to try and prove a point- he was ACTUALLY wanting to eat it now- subconsciously, he opened his mouth.

Everything happened too fast.

Azulin, out of desperation snapped himself out of anyone's range of grasp and made a mad dash forward- before grabbing the slug just before the teal-green bear would get a bite of it. He shoved Achuchones down to the ground before backing up, holding the slug in his arms and he kept his face directed away from it with a wild look in his eyes.

"I said don't, godammit!" he bared his fangs, watching as the other bears starting to try and walk forward toward him.

Gordi was starting to panic- before waving his arms. "Everyone stop! Let him explain!"

"Why should we? I was always terrorizing at least one of us! Him making excuses is just about on my last nerve!" Achuchones growled in Gordi's direction, only for the pink bear to firm his demeanor and get annoyed. Something that the bigger bear was very well capable of all this time- but avoided.

"Shut up! Everyone's bickering needs to stop! My brother is notorious for everything that you are all explaining- but he has been trying to make an obvious change and you all are acting like he hasn't been! You all can very well tell this is not just him trying to 'play nice' or brown-nose! You can't deny that!"

All of the accusing party looked away, unable to deny what Gordi was saying to them. Because it was indeed true. If Azulin was trying to do nothing but act out what would be his most grand of plays yet- then he would have given up and gone back to being rotten a long while ago.

"You can't keep protecting him, Gordi! He was the worst to you, and you specifically- just because he knows he can walk all over you..." The panda bear looked the the chubby pink bear with a hint of concern in his eyes. However, he wasn't saying it out of spite. It didn't seem as though he was, anyways...

Gordi looked around the group, watching as Azulin wiggled free of them again, still holding the slug in his hands- he seemed frantic- unsure of what he was going to do to try and prove his point. He couldn't convince them with words. Even with Gordi defending him, there was no way. Come on... think... think dammit!

It suddenly hit him.

It was both one of the best and one of the worst ideas he could think of.

One was more likely to learn by example rather than by word.

If you father simply told you not to touch a knife because you could chop off your fingers on accident- you would likely challenge him mentally- simply because he did nothing more than told you no. If you saw your father accidentally cut one of his fingers off while making dinner due to being negligent- you would be more likely to leave such a dangerous tool alone.

Shaking, Azulin looked at the wiggling animal in his hands and clenched his hands- his claws going into it. The slug let out a low hiss, the smell coming from it becoming more and more enticing. He could almost not ignore it.. it was messing with him...

'Concentrate, idiot!' he internally scolded himself. Shakily clearing his throat, Azulin got the attention of the fellow soldiers, sergeant, and the father. His arms trembled at the thought of just how wrong this could go... just how much of an example could he make? For all he knew... this time around the slug would make him vicious.

The only plus was that none of them were injured, and they were all already ready to throw hands with him if he went out of line. They would be ready to subdue him right? What if they got violent enough to kill him...?

'Stop scaring yourself... come on... even if they did kill you it's no less than you still deserve. Man up and do the right thing for a chance, you selfish shit...' he found his thoughts nagging him.

Azulin shook his head straightened his posture. "I will show you what happens when you eat these things...." he said in a lightly determined voice, despite a small quivering undertone in his voice. "Because... we..." he trailed off, looking toward the Polar Bear Twins, who started to look nervous. "can't afford any mistakes this time..."

Azulin bit into the slug, the innards of it melting almost all sensations around him instantly, with how big the bite actually was. He started to shake, his blue eyes seeming to grow wild and confused. Unable to focus- as well as getting darker- which was unnerving considering how light they usually were...

As Azulin was starting to hallucinate- the world around him growing wobbly and colorful by the second- he tried to hold his grasp on sobriety. Desperately trying to contain himself, at least a little bit. However, his hands were starting to twitch- and the last thing he managed to squeeze out of his throat was a half-concentrated for them to 'stop him' because he felt himself reaching for his knife in his pocket.

After that, his mind delved into a disheveled, disoriented darkness. Overwhelming sensations flooding his every means of perception. Every lingering thought escaped him and he felt himself inking into a blissful mindlessness. Sweet and soothing and free of all outside forces.

It was just him.

No thoughts, no worries, no lingering memories...

Was this... peace?

No... if it was... his chest wouldn't be hurting...
