When you got there you exited the van and heard the hiss of gas, it was harmless, the gas was to knock everyone out to be taken inside, your teammates started taking everyone in as you stretched,

You picked up three kids and carried them into the witness room, you heard kain behind you, "y'know y/n I don't know if I'll ever understand how you do that" he said with a soft smile

"Do what?" You asked in an amused tone,
"That," he said vaguely gesturing towards the people you carried in, "how are you that strong, but built like an average woman, you're just slightly toned, and you can bench at least five hundred pounds!" He said astonished,

You remembered the night you guys found that out,

You had just come back from recovering 096, you all barely made it, and John wanted to celebrate, you had all had a few drinks when caden had chimed in, he barely spoke unless he was drunk

"Hey y/n how much do you think you could bench" he asked, you hummed in response, "uh.... Probably more than you, I don't know, why?" "I have an idea for a drinking game" he said smirking,

Next thing you knew you were at a gym, with several bottles of vodka, and three shot glasses, when caden began to explain

"Ok, so, we know she can bench a lot right?" Everyone nodded in response, "so we start at a hundred pounds, and go up by ten, each time we add a weight we take a shot," he said,

they all looked at you for approval, and you shrugged, "why not" you would've been worried about not having a sober spotter but there was enough alcohol in your system for you not to care, so you laid back and kain slowly started adding weights,

You got up to five hundred before the pole the weights were on was out of room thank God, since the others were throwing up from how drunk they were, "is that even hard for you?!" John asked in a state of shock,

"No not really, we should get going guys, you are all drunk as hell, and I'm still sober, so I'll drive you tell me where to go, sounds good?" You asked them, they nodded

John and kain were roommates at an apartment pretty far away, but you were fine with driving long distance, even if it was getting annoying how often you had to stop and let them puke though,

Caden lived in a nice house in the local rich neighborhood, he flipped you off as he stumbled into his house as a goodbye,

"Oh yeah I remember when we learned that, you guys got really drunk" you said chuckling,

"Yeah, your car was a mess" he said laughing at you, "YOU were a mess," you said laughing trying to sound offended, but failing miserably,

You both noticed John and Caden were missing and looked out the front window to find Caden had climbed onto John's shoulders and started hitting him with his shoe, you could practically see fumes coming out of Cadens ears while John looked like he was going to die from laughter

Both of you simultaneously started dying of laughter looking at the silent scene out in the loading zone for the site, other personnel were watching,

They seemed confused and slightly disturbed, adding to the hilariousness of it all, no more sounds were coming out of you as you silently wheezed holding yourself up on the wall, and kain was dying on the floor,

Caden was finally satisfied with how many times he hit John with his shoe, and they had came back in as you had regained your composure and helped kain up as he followed suit,

Just in the knick of time too, you all became dead serious right before one of the 05 council members walked down the hall and passed, you all had a sixth sense for that group, since no one wanted to be reprimanded for goofing off on the job,

You weren't on the clock that day so you went home as soon as everything was taken care of, and had to try and make excuses for your roommate Alex, who you were supposed to hang out with

"Y/n what the hell? We were supposed to hang out today," she said, "well a swat team came to my class" partly true

"and we were held up for a while," true

"then I had to explain to mom what happened" lies, you went to the store

"someone told her about it and she held me up a while, you know her" lies, your mom knew nothing about what happened

"So if I call your mom right now she knows what happened?" Your roommate said calling your bluff,

You broke "no... I may or may not have fallen asleep in my car, I stormed off while they were questioning us, I didn't want to go out," you said cringing as she looked at you angry,

She hummed, "ok... But you won't miss it next time right?" She said,

You were mildly amused at how someone a foot shorter than you who was unarmed, non-anomolous and mostly harmless, could force your hand when not even the 05 council could manage it,

"Why are you so desperate to drag me out with you, you have other friends that would happily go" you said,

"Because you need to get over him it's been over three years and you still love him, he scarred you permanently, and I know you can't get rid of your physical scars, but maybe you'll meet someone who can heal your mental scars" she said, her anger fading as she took your hands,

You heaved a sigh, "fine, I'll try to go next time, but no promises, and I don't think I can love anyone like I loved him, no matter how toxic he was, I loved him, he was my everything," you said,

She looked at you in understanding, you were talking about your ex fiance, you were with him before you developed your abilities, he had abused you, mentally and physically,

You tried your best to change him because you loved him, and she tried to save you from him, only one of you succeeded, she found you broken in your backyard one day, and that was her last straw,

She called the police and now your abuser was rotting in jail, he'd be getting out soon but you tried not to think about it,

"I know sometimes it seems like I'm avoiding you, and I'm sorry, you're my best friend I don't know what I'd do without you" you said with a small sad laugh,

You pulled her into a hug, she patted your back "I know... And you'd be an antisocial recluse," she said

You pulled back enough to see her face, "I'm serious, I would have drowned in my problems if you weren't here for me" you whispered down to her

"I know y/n, I hope one day I'm not the only one you can say that to" she said before pulling away and going into the kitchen, "movie night?" She called from the kitchen, "movie night... Oh by the way, I might invite someone else to come out with us if that's alright," you replied "yeah thats fine," she replied, probably thinking it was someone you were into,

Movie night was always your way of apologizing to each other, you grabbed two drinks and went to her room,

You jumped onto her bed and picked a stupid romcom to watch just as she came in with the snacks, you spent most of the show talking though, and laughing at each other
