Chapter 2: Eye deceiving..?

Jongwoo's POV

I woke up in an uncomfortable position, still in my work clothes. I cursed to myself and got up to go shower because I was also sweaty. As I stepped into the bathroom, the cold floor hits my feet, sending shivers through my whole body. "Fuck.. why is it so cold here" I mumbled to myself.

I took off my clothes and hop into the warm shower, cleaning my body and washing my hair. I missed the feeling of being able to close my eyes, and not be on edge every time I shower so I tend to enjoy it while I can. "I'm never taking anything I have for granted again"

After a while, I stepped out of the shower and got dressed. Today is Saturday, meaning work is off. I wore a classic white shirt and sweatpants. After I got dressed, I went ahead and make myself some breakfast. I decided to make fried rice with the leftover rice I have from last night. As I was getting the ingredients from the fridge, I noticed that I was lacking vegetable and fruits so I made a mental note to myself to go to the grocery store later.

I took out some eggs from the fridge and made the ingredients for fried rice. After I finished making it, I plated it and ate it while scrolling through my phone. Upon scrolling, I saw an article and the headline caught my attention.

The Eden's Resident Case. APPARENTLY EVERYONE WAS NOT KILLED BY SEO MOON-JO?! WHO COULD BE THE KILLER? COULD SEO MOON-JO ACTUALLY BE INNOCENT?

Shit. Shit. Shit. I panicked. Everything is fine. You did not do it. you DID NOT do it. IT WAS MOON JO! Yes!! It's him!! I realized I was having a panic attack. The room was getting small and I couldn't breath. I try to calm down but I failed, suddenly I heard a voice in my head.

"Jagiya, calm down. It's okay.."

I tried to catch my breath to think about the voices in my head. Am I going crazy? Why did I imagine about him again? Finally, I managed to calm myself down, sweat dripping from my forehead. I sighed and turned off my phone.

I knew a day like this would come eventually. The day that the world finally found out I killed everyone in the building. Ms Um, the giggling weird guy, the pervert. But it was the only way for me to live, the only way Moonjo will let me go.

I suddenly lost my appetite and decided to just save the rice for the afternoon. I poured the rice into a pot and got ready to go out to the grocery store.

By the time I left my apartment building and reached the local grocery store, it was around 9:10 AM. I entered the store and was greeted by the staff. "Good morning!" The staff greeted me with a smile. "Good morning" I greeted back. I took out a shopping cart then went to the vegetable isle first. Alright.. I need some cabbage, cucumbers and... let's see. I was taking what I need and put it into my cart. I turned around and then my blood ran cold.

In the corner of the isle, I saw Moonjo. He was looking at me, smiling. I blinked and opened my eyes again and he was gone! I think I am actually going insane. I shrugged it off, decided that my mind is playing tricks on me. I went to purchase some fruits and some milk. After I got everything, I went to check out and swiftly walked out of the grocery store.

Suddenly, I did not feel safe anymore. I feel like he's watching me. But how? I killed him. I stabbed him. How could it be him? Is it his ghost? Is he haunting me?

On the way home, I kept looking over my shoulder. I am paranoid again. The progress I've made are vanished in a matter of seconds.
